Doesn't think much of the SEC East, only Georgia gets any respect. I could be wrong but Pitt and Miami seem way to high and UofL, IMO, is a joke.

We are behind Louisville? What in the...?

I had some respect for Phil Steele, but to have UL at 33 is just laughable. I’m not really too concerned with where he put us (although I think we should be between 20-25 with C-Rod). Whatever….Arkansas and UK are on another level then several teams ahead of them

Still a complete sht rag. Other than regurgitating and amalgamating info from SIDs, they never get UK right. Always dumping on us to sell Mags. It's a business move, I get it, but it's fkn tiresome.

After the season they'll still say they're the most accurate at predicting in the country, but their bar is set really really low. Hope we shove 10-11 regular season wins and a top 10 finish down their piehole

It's like we didn't even play football last year or they didn't watch any of it.

I just want one of these pubs to be forced to bet straight up on head to head games for teams they have ranked. I'd of made bank the last 4 years on UK vs ul. They keep over playing how good they are and keep under selling us. I don't get it. It's not like Louisville is NY or LA with 14 million eyeballs for tv. What are we at... 150 to 35 the last 4 years in score?

Ole Miss will be better than picked, also.

Wow, NC State at 13th!!

Hey, 4 ACC teams Top 15; but only 3 SEC teams.

And LSU and Auburn outside the Top 40?!?!?!?!

AU could be in trouble this year. But if you count ND that's 5 ACC teams in the top 20 right? CU, Miami, Pitt, NCST, and ND. Unless I missed the disassociate themselves from the ACC.

Just to avoid any hint of bias as a Kentucky fan, let's take a look at where he has Arkansas. Put the Razorbacks on a neutral field with Houston, Louisville, Boise St or Air Force and they would easily be double digit favorites. They bring back their QB and their entire OL except for one tackle. They might not have to even throw a pass against those lackluster defenses. To make matters worse, the Razorbacks are a 7-point favorite in their opener against Steele's 25th ranked Bearcats. Talk about no respect.

Need to check his bold predictions come January 2023. Does UL have an easy schedule this year? KY should destroy them again!!

National U6 media slurpfest ignores those games, they didn't happen...never played. Steele is a prime example of a has been.

Never was

Same formula every year. Pick the teams with great recruiting classes and no real challengers on their schedule. PICK UK at 6-7 wins now and then. Their method is so immovable it's got bedsores

I love it because there’s nothing sweeter than Louisville fans talking themselves into believing they will beat us then crushing them. They should win some easy Big East games and go in with hopes only to have another total meltdown. In all honesty I see it as then being higher on the Louisville QB vs Levis.

To me the most laughable part is Vegas has Louisville at 5.5 so putting two and two together UK is a 5.5 ACC win team, interesting lol

My guilty pleasure: reading their boards a week before our game. Last year, their QB set single game records against Duke a week or two before playing us. I pulled up the highlights. Had LBJ ever faced the 2021 Duke defense he could have run for 800+ yards. They were slow.

Then reading the meltdowns on their game threads!

And then being annihilated by UK 59-17
Stoops has class.

He takes his foot off the gas against our MAC opponents, Vandy, etc.

But he “gets it,” when it comes to Louisville. It is our one game where the attitude from the Top down to the high school cheerleaders selling popcorn is United.

LEAVE NO DOUBT!

Had Steele looked at those numbers he wouldn't have ranked Louisville over Kentucky. Makes you wonder if he does his own research.

I'm sure he's on twiter, etc. Why some doesn't someone send him this info and see his response? I don't get on any of that BS.

Lol I can't take anyone seriously who has Louisville ahead of us

153-44
Based on results on the field, reasonable people should agree with you on this. Anyone who saw the last several UK-UL games would know that the strength of UL's program is not comparable to UK's. Our lines shoved their lines all over the field. That difference hasn't been turned around in 8 months.

This particular ranking for UK is the lowest I have seen. Almost everyone has UK between 15-25. Of course, preseason rankings don't have any actual importance. They don't win games, and they don't have any impact on bowl invitations. In fact, it is more impressive when a team with lower expectations really plays well and outperforms.

If one buys into an optimistic narrative regarding UK's season, one assumes our OL, DL, and secondary will perform well. Conversely, a lack of respect for our OL, DL, and secondary would be the basis for discounting this team, especially if one believes Chris Rodriguez will not be back. At this stage, there are a lot of variables. My opinion is that Deondre Buford's performance plus keeping Will Levis, Tayvion Robinson, and Keidron Smith healthy will go a long way toward determining the results.
