Pelicans Versus Golden State

They're gonna have to shoot a lot better than they did that first quarter. AD hit his first shot but I don't think he scored after that. He did have two pretty good blocks.

Well now it is 18...GS just toyed with them most of that half before turning it on at the end.

yeah, but i think it's more of NO's nerves. Everyone looks shaky!

The terrible start cost the Pelicans any shot at winning this game. AD with a big 4th quarter to get it close.

Going be tough if Tyreke Evans knee injury keeps him out the rest of the series which I don't think it will.

Pelicans will regret trading Noel for Jrue Holiday on draft day.

Davis is taking over, but too late for this one. Great showing in his first playoff game, though. He's well on his way to a HOF career and being the top guy in the league for years to come.

His teammates absolutely stink, though. They need to draft or trade for a point guard that will get him the ball instead of all their 2 guards posing as point guards. Eric Gordon doesn't impress me, he's a good shooter but his athleticism, foot speed and defense is not very impressive for an NBA starter. Size isn't great for his position, either. Their other bigs are all stiffs or a guy like Anderson that I like but whose only real skill is hitting 3's.

Also, Klay Thompson looks full on like the one dude from Color Me Badd. Fun player to watch, though.

Hope he's okay.

Tyreke Evans says in Pels locker room he "felt a little pop" in left knee after tangle with Andre Iguodala and will undergo MRI later today

Damn smashcat didn't know he heard a pop. Well going to be tougher without him. I think they can get at least one in New Orleans

Not one of AD's better showings as a pro tonight. He was lost defensively multiple times in the first half. I don't know if the team wasn't calling out screens or he was just imagining them coming and they weren't or what, maybe it was nerves, but he just got lost a bunch. He made up for it in the 4th though scoring 20 points in the 4th quarter. I believe that was only 3 less than the Warriors in the 4th. Definitely not a great match up for the Pelicans period. Hopefully they won't be so timid(If thats even the right word for it) the rest of the way. I hope Evans can play or they are really in trouble.

I really wish the Thunder had made the playoffs (not necessarily at the expense of the Pelicans).

just feels weird without Russ and KD.
