Pass rush vs. pass protection

To me the season boils down to 2 major items.

1. Can we protect Levis in pass game?
2. Can we rush the passer (especially off the edge)?

It sounds like we're not 100% on the tackle spots on offense...but Buford/Goodwin will have to learn on the job. On the defensive side...I'll have to see it before I believe Chris Wright will hold up vs. SEC OL.

3. Can the secondary cover or will they be a liability?

Ole Miss, Miss St, UT all bring potent passing that has to be contained. Great pass rush can help, but the back end has to do their job.

I thought when we were at our best last year, we got penetration through the guards and center. The potential is there to repeat that. Paschal is a big loss but if healthy, I don’t think there is a ton of drop off with big Ox. If the DLine can stay healthy this year the defense will be pretty stout.

OLine, just gonna have to give them some help on the edges early in the year. Levis is a tough guy, he’ll probably need that the first half of the year.
