The QBs were 25/30 and 28/35. The soft zone coverage has to be supplemented with more man coverage and be aggressive going after the QB. We have really good talent on defense, we need to utilize it better.

Good! Our players need to feel the pressure and step up, not be happy with the status quo. And if they fear getting beat instead of accepting the challenge they're going to get killed.

It was weird watching on tv the opposing receiver catch the ball then like 5 seconds later a UK defender entered the picture.

Vs Georgia it was safeties. Vs Mizzou it was one corner (Phillips). Opposing teams wisely target these weaknesses and it's hurting us

A major part of a good pass defense is a good pass rush. We do not have one. When the opposing QB has ALL day to throw, receivers will get open. Not everything is on our safeties and corners.

This is when a good coordinator knows how to minimize exposure. We are supposed to have a good coordinator, although it has not been apparent in the last 2 games. I think Coach White is a good one, but he's been publicly embarrassed two weeks in a row.

How do you minimize exposure when your safeties decide to lose their mind in a game? Their entire job is to minimize exposure. To that point, they played well vs Mizzou. So at least it was corrected.

Phillips had a bad game vs Mizzou but even so, considering everything, defense definitely played well enough to win that game. Definitely not embarrassed especially considering being out two key guys.
