My crew has been booted out of the orange lot to the arboretum parking section. Don't know if we are going to keep our season tickets.

Our seats are by the visitor seating so it may be a little bit of hike for some old timers.

Anyone have a map so I can see how close this parking area is relative to my seats?

Go to UKathletics.com and click on K Fund and then look for "parking." They have a map on there.

You would really give up season tickets because of parking? I just don't understand...

UK fans are spoiled by the great parking situation we've had. We are leaps and bounds ahead of most teams regarding close gameday parking.

Anyone else disappointed in the handling of parking this year? I have had a pass for numerous number of years and have been moved from blue to orange last year now to a Parking Structure. Needless to say was not to happy but nothing you can do.

I find it very inappropriate that even know they knew they would be losing parking spots this year with construction and FEMA project, UK still decided to turn mostly what was left of the BLue Lot into a VIP lot. They can blame construction and FEMA on the current parking situation but I think this heavily contributed to the whole mess

Dude no offense but some of you just can't be pleased. When the parking was stable for many years, it meant there were no investments in the program and "the administration doesn't care about the football fans." Now, with many millions of dollars pouring into the program, some people are being relocated to accommodate the upgrades and "the administration doesn't care about the football fans."

We've always been in the orange lot and I have no idea if we're still there, but honestly, how much difference does it make? From what I'm told, orange is like 4th in the pecking order and we have about a 3 minute walk to the gates of the stadium.

Maybe they should assign parking not by K club points, but how much whining someone is willing to do in order to be able to stay put. I hope you're still able to enjoy the games my man.

Thanks for your support of UK football. Changes are happening. Whats more important to you? Winning SEC Championships or a nice cheap seat with close parking watching 2-10 seasons? Dont give up now. Your best days of UK football are right around the corner. If your handicapped they have seats and parking spots for those.

Short answer - no. It's not a God-given right to get a parking pass. Never had one for years and years. Would park on campus and hoof it. Haven't inquired about this year - hope to get one and if I do I won't complain. Doubt I'll complain even if I don't get one. Odd concept, but I go for the game.

Been in the orange lot for, several years now. Got bumped to silver this, year. Can't really complain too much. RV, where, are you this year?

Silver. I asked for it due to tailgating with friends. Saw some other folks complaining on this or another thread about being bumped from blue to orange or some such and they gave their point totals. Just for kicks and giggles I looked up my point total and it was about twice theirs so I guess I could pretty much park in the dang stadium if I chose to. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: But I'm happy where I am. I go to most away games and have been to all the SEC stadiums except A&M and our parking situation is miles ahead of most of our SEC brethren.

Uh....here is my post that you are referring to:

I only have 127 points and they have moved me from Blue to Orange last year to Silver this year. I am not thrilled but ok with this. I mainly wanted to avoid the purple which I did. Looking at the map, they have made just about all of the Blue lot a VIP lot. I think that is pushing the many blue lot people to the other lots and the trickle down effect is displacing a lot of us.

If you think that was complaining then you have some reading comprehension issues. Perhaps, you are just looking for things to complain about yourself. BTW, if you have 254 points the best you could have done was Orange.

I have been to most SEC stadiums also, and UK fans are really spoiled. Vandy not too bad if you get there early! Most places you have to walk quite a distance.
I'm happy with the updates and the commitment Mitch has made to football. I will walk the extra steps. It's good for my health anyway!!

Uh no - I don't even recall reading that post.

I don't think any fan that's been around long (say Stoll Field fan long) would deny what you say.... But when you have been around that long walking distances becomes a much less casual affair... You will come to that point, Grasshopper, if you live long enough...

Do you need to call to find out your parking assignment? Do not see it anywhere on my UKAthletics account.

Yes GGCAT you need to call the UK Ticket office and they will gladly and quickly tell you where your parking space is located and will tell you that they will be going through this same process next year but with the completion of the stadium construction and FEMA projects and addition of many new parking spaces next year that there is a chance that anybody moved from their previous lots could get moved back if they so desire. Good Luck !!!

Found out today was moved from Purple to Arboretum. Will be interested to see how tailgating is gonna work there (ie... Will tailgating only be allowed on the outside parking spaces?).

Finally found out we were moved to the White/Green Lot off of Cooper across from KET

Kind of a small lot, but we get there early enough that it shouldn't cause too many tailgating issues.

Overall Im pleased with our spot.

Kept my blue one in the new very very downsized blue lot. At opposite end of stadium from the grassy area where we tailgated for 25 years .
One of my buddies is way away in purple but happy as a clam. He says you almost totally avoid the traffic in the far away lots. Better to walk a few blocks than be unable to move in traffic for twenty or thirty minutes . Pros and cons of everything.

However I am fired up about the season and realize inconvenience is the price of progress . As old traditions die new ones begin. We will make do and tailgate somewhere.

Love all of the new construction not only at CWS but on campus. Dorms and chem/physics building were far more than overdue.

Now let s see some winning football.

We were in the Purple lot for as long as I can remember and yes, the one of the best things about it was the ease in getting out after games, would park along the fence line of soccer field and would be on the road 5 minutes after packing up the car.

Hi! Ho!! here. Requested it (Was White Lots last year.). Prefer to Orange because the orange's new blacktop so dang hot. Also, Silver is easy exit & we usually leave right after.
