Parking around Commonwealth Stadium

Found out I'm getting moved to a parking garage. Are the pay as you go lots around the stadium safe to tent up and tailgate in?

Lots of lots, but you must get there early.
I am sure the stadium will be done in time, but I wonder about fixing the lots. They are going to be rushing to finish the parking before Sep 5..

Same for my usual tailgating friends from Louisville, and their 81 year old mother who has had tix since the 1960s. Garage is the one across Cooper Drive, correct? I tried to buy a blue pass for them, but was told that NO ONE on the waiting list for parking passes got one, and that UK lost 1600 parking spaces. They basically told UK thanks but no thanks.

Now there are VIP lots right next to the stadium where the Blue lot was - just $2500 per season. Would you like one, or two?
