I cannot believe how much they gave to get the number one pick.

Gave up the number 9 pick the number 61 pic a second rounder and a third rounder plus DJ Moore LOL

five pieces for one. The Bears just had the greatest trade in their history LOL. They can still draft big at number 9

I can understand trading big like that to get a generational QB that is definitely the best QB in the class. Why when there is so much debate about who is the best between Stroud, Young and Levis? Panthers GM should be fired.
Yeah. For a burrow Trevor Lawrence ….but for a small Bryce young Cj stroud? Levis for sure ain’t generational

I hope he goes to the Panthers tbh

Charlotte isn't too far of a drive from Kentucky and even though I'm not a Panthers fan. I'd make the drive to go see him play.

But, I expect them to go with O$U QB

Crazy to think the Bears raided Carolina of future picks and still has lots of them this year...

I don't love the Raider's but I also don't hate them.. I have rooted for them in the past, when John Madden was the coach... After he left the entire origination was lost to me... I also like a few player's they had over the years...

Saw a mock draft that predicted Carolina will draft Richardson #1. Probably the 4th best QB on the board and they trade up to get him? I'll be shocked if AR15 sees the field and does anything of note his first two years. Panthers GM is gonna be packing his bags if he drafts Richardson.

Imo, it's a weak year for QB. The ones being considered for the top spot are Young, who is the last Bama QB that was successful in the NFL? Hurts doesn't count, Bama will claim him but OU taught him to play QB, Plus he is small. Richardson, probably the most athletic but should be catching not throwing the ball. Levis holds the ball too long and turns the ball over too much. Stroud never won a big game but I think has the best chance to be a dood NFL QB

I watched a video on YouTube where Josh McCown, who works for the Carolina Panthers as QB coach, was going over video of Will Levis. This was before the trade yesterday. He seemed pretty into Will. I can tell he liked him.

First time I ever heard McCown talk. He seems damn football smart.

Both guys seem to think he may struggle at getting safeties and cornerbacks and linebackers to go one way while he's actually want to throw the other way. Moving guys around etc..
Also at some point McCown tries to indicate that he thinks Will is a north-south runner and really doesn't have much scramble left to right.
I disagree with that.

Carolina must have really liked a specific guy.

They could have traded up to the 4-6 range and still been in a position to draft one of the QBs.

This QB class is interesting because there's not "the guy" that's blowing any one of the others away.

They all have #1 over all traits as well as things that in any other draft class they could slip down.

Levis and Stroud are the two safest bets. Clean up some minor things with the both of them and they could be all pros in short order with very little downside risk. They should be #1 and #2.

The other two, are riskier but if they hit, they hit.

I think Young is the riskiest of the whole lot. He's not even Breeze or Wilson size and I don't think Carolina has Sean Payton calling plays nor an all-time defense like the legion of boom. For Young to have success everything else has to be in place and go right around him. First and foremost, offensive line. Which typically isn't the case for teams drafting in the top 10.

Richardson at least has the size, brute strength, and overwhelming athleticism. His inaccuracy and inconsistency are risky, especially early in career. Ideally, he's a 2–3-year development.

Young, it could get ugly really quick via big hits, wear, and tear. Richardson it gets ugly really quick via mistakes, turnovers, decision making.

I think it's a down year for qb overall. No one is a sure thing. Young's issue is his lack of size, his understanding of the game is excellent. Richardson is the opposite of Young, big and physical but is clueless in the passing game. Levis is big and physical, but holds the ball too long and commits too many turnovers. Stroud has the best combination of size, knowledge and understanding of the game, but has lost every important game he has started. I think the 2 with best chance are Stroud and Young, rules and officials protect the QBs, they don't have to be as durable as the older guys were.

As a Bears fan, I love this trade. Our GM Poles has been stockpiling picks and getting Moore is like the cherry on top. We really took Carolina to the cleaners. Too bad we don't have a QB worth a damn. Fields is not a franchise QB. But this should help build the overall roster of the team which was trash.
