I was thinking about this driving to work this morning. In the four wins, our average margin of victory is seven points. Like most people I was hoping the offense would kick in this year and we would put up somewhere in the vicinity of 32-35 per game but I just don't see that happening.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is I'm not going to be concerned about how many we score or the margin of victory because a win is a win. Perennially, these tight games are always the ones we have somehow found a way to lose in the past. I couldn't tell you how many times over the last forty years I have watched this program snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
This is a sign that the program is heading in the right direction. Just hang in there and be happy getting to a bowl this year because we're basically building this thing from scratch.
