Looks very impressive imo. I realize IU doesn't play defense but Duke looked good last night and we toyed with them.
It was nice hearing DV repeatedly touting UK's defense in shutting Allen down. An IU friend said Allen just had an off night against us and our D had nothing to do with it. Then DV says it over and over. My friend will have little to say next time I see him.
No doubt Duke played a lot better last night, I would hope we could contain Allen again. Ingram looked lost in Chicago but played a great game last night, I have a friend who lives in Kinston where he played his HS ball and she had told me how good he was but up until last night I hadn't seen it. Of course playing at home and K controlling the refs didn't help Indiana any.. they haven't won all those games in a row by sheer coincidence. You guys played great D against us. I think UK is clearly one of the best, and easily the most talented, of the basketball teams around this year.
That said... that was a terrible, terrible game by almost every Duke player who we expect to do well, and I don't think that was 100 percent because of UK. If the teams played each other again, I would not expect that outcome.

Well, you didn't expect it the first time. UK shut you guys down. Period. It wasn't just a squeak by win, UK won by double digits. UK has played mid majors that played a better game against them. You guys played great D against us. Bingo. UK rendered him completely ineffective.Anyone who said that UK's D had nothing to do with Allen having a rough night is an idiot.
Who is saying we expect that?I hope Duke fans don't think they are going to score at will in every game like they did last night because that was some terrible defense they were playing against.

At the risk of misinterpreting you due to oversensitivity to backhanded remarks from rival posters in the past...UK is clearly one of the best, and easily the most talented, of the basketball teams around this year.
I hope we get another crack at ya'll in March.

How many blue chippers do the other HOF coaches need to have at their disposal before rival fans stop saying stuff like "pretty good, really talented" about UK as if Cal's results aren't quite where they should be? With his winning records against self and Roy and his split series with K, all of whom have burger boys off the bench every year, can we just cut out the little qualifiers? If you don't think Cal is a top formidable x and o mind that k takes deadly serious regardless of relative roster strength, your brain might be falling out of your head.
Now, once again, I don't actually believe that you meant to say any of that, but I came to aggressively preempt trolling attempts and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of bubble gum.
