We are currently ranked 12th in the nation in scoring defense, and 14th in total (yardage) defense, second only to Georgia in the SEC in both categories.

Given that we have played Ole Miss and State, two of the more prolific offenses in the SEC to date, that ranking might hold up for the season.

I look for two weeks without any football to really help Weaver and that hyper-extentioned elbow. He has seemed somewhat slowed by it. Hopefully with a few weeks to rest it he will be near 100% v the Vols.

This. No TN coach, player or fan has any fear of UKs defense or any teams defense.

4th in the SEC in terms of yards allowed per play at 5 yards per play. 'Bama is first 4.4 yards per play allowed. (Tennessee allows 5.5).

I think it helps that UK played a FCS and two MAC teams already, but I think this unit is good enough they won't regress a ton.

The defense has it's biggest challenge next:
