It's that simple and it's time for a change. Whether Stoops will leave on his own and walk away with some dignity and class at the end of the season remains to be seen. Either way a change needs to be made. I'm sure Stoops would be willing to compromise on a buyout and take a year off from coaching or maybe even early retire like his Brother Bob did. A Fresh start is needed for our Football program just like it was needed for our Men's and Women's Basketball programs got. I really appreciate what Stoops did for our program but it's time for some new blood.

Stoops needs to go coast out a coaching career as a coordinator or some low-level school like Youngstown State where he can beat up on mediocre competition and NIL isn't as big of a deal as it is trying to land talent to win in the SEC. Stoops' comments about NIL alluding to him not wanting to be a part of the long game in the sport, nearly leaving for Texas A&M before the hiring was vetoed last year. Now he can't even get a job like that anymore. With the league being tougher since Texas & OU came in, struggling to be Bowl Eligible with Stoops is going to be a yearly challenge with the current state of the program. UK needs someone who wants to be here and up for the challenges of the landscape College Football is today. Find someone young, hungry like Sumrall who would want the challenge.

Barnhart will make the change, his Balls finally dropped when he let go of Coach Elzy and Coach Cal left. Getting rid of Coach Stoops will be child's play. It's gonna happen.
