Currently up 11-5 in 8th. Reds scored 7 in the fateful 6th that included 2 three run bombs, back to back homers and 3 dingers in one inn. (1st time in 4 yrs the Reds have hit 3 hrs in an inn.).
Votto got into the act in the 7th with a 2 run poke on Super Votto bobblehead nite.
Reds will go for the split tomorrow.
Dont sleep on the Reds with SPs Bailey and DeScalfani close to coming off DL.

Doubt this off topic post will last as long as the one about the Cubbies no hitting the Reds and scoring 16 runs on Thursday but payback is hell bay bay!!!

Bwah ha ha ha...

Really? Don't sleep on the Reds because of Homer Bailey? Please tell me you're not serious.

The 16-0 game still is fresh in my mind. Don't be bragging, the reds aren't very good...

So two no hitters arent good enough for you?
You basketball guys dont realize the Reds have had 4 starting pitchers out since Opening Day, 2 of which are the top 2 in the rotation.
Tomorrow will be the Reds 7th gm v the Cubs in their first 19 gms.
Yet here they are at 9-9.
If you boneheads dont think the Reds pitching staff will improve greatly with a healthy Homer and DeScafini then I dont know why Im even chatting with you.

Did I say they wouldn't improve? Did I say that ever anywhere?

Didn't think so but if you think they're going to make noise in the N.L. Central because of Bailey, then I don't know why I'm even responding to you.

And No, those no hitters are only 2 games. They don't mean anything. Are you looking at the rest of his work and thinking difference maker? If so, don't even respond to me because this conversation is pointless. He has been serviceable but he is not a difference maker for the team to contend for even a wild card. He got that contract based solely on those no hitters.

Hopefully today has brought you back To earth but I highly doubt it considering your posting history. Bailey may have thrown 2 no-nos but he's been way too inconsistent and oft injured to qualify for 100 million dollars esp when you consider they could of spent that money on Cueto and traded Bailey.

The Reds this year will lose 80 plus games. You have an okay top of the order but nothing in that bottom half. The bullpen is terrible. Expect Bruce and Phillips to get traded maybe both. By the end of the year, you'll pretty much have a AAA team on the field.

The Reds in a few years could be good. If they continue to draft position guys and build around these young arms they have acquired in these trades. But right they have too much to atone for years of "win now" attitude from Jocketty that didn't work out where he signed long term contracts and purged the minor league system. They seem to be on a better path but expect some rebuilding years ahead

OP what happened to the reds today? Did they use all their runs last night. 9-0 sounds really bad.
