Regards OHIO, for example, I would not be surprised to see that 90% of the tight ends we've signed have been from there. None have made it to the pros and I'm not sure any have made ALL-SEC teams. It appears to me that Marrow just picks up the low-lying fruit up there at TE and has made a reputation for doing so. I agree 100% ... expand the recruiting base across the board. As expected.
The breakdown of CFB rosters are basically the same.
It's why I've always been a big advocate of focusing less on Ohio and establishing some exposure in other areas.
Especially, and specifically at QB...which is what we need. You have to go to Texas or Cali...
I was kinda surprised at Louisiana, as it seemed lower than I'd expected.Surprised OH is that low. I think they used to be 4th and were right there with GA.. Ga has jumped wayyy up from last time I saw such a list.
OH is 5th as it has been for the last couple of years. The area I'm glad to see us concentrate on more is GA. When this study is done in the next 7-8 years GA will be 1 or 2 with the population growth in metro ATL and other areas within the state. I'm kinda surprised that NC has that many NFL players, but I probably shouldn't be, as the "Research Triangle" and Charlotte have experienced growth similar to GA.Surprised OH is that low. You may be right but you need to keep in mind that we gotta use the T.E. to assist in blocking schemes because of our defencities in our offensive line. Rarely does our ends run routes.Regards OHIO, for example, I would not be surprised to see that 90% of the tight ends we've signed have been from there.
