Taking it easy after a 10 K run this morning, and I've been watching segments of past Kentucky games. I'm watching Blu Ray discs on a pretty good HD TV so I think I'm getting a pretty accurate color read.
So, somewhere between the uniforms the Cats wore to beat North Carolina in the Regional Final in 2011, and the uniforms worn in the December 2014 game at Louisville, the shade of blue got about 10-20 percent lighter. And the blue in 2011 looked a bit lighter than the blue in March, 1998 during the Regional Final win over Duke.
I hope somebody at UK notices and takes the blue back to traditional Kentucky blue.
