Jalen's got a point.
I certainly liked watching Webber as a player, but the guy has always come across as a big ole phony off the court, and I do mean always. Hell, I remember even back in his high school days he made some bogus statements that made it sound like he'd had this tough background coming up on the mean ghetto streets of Detroit, only for it to be revealed that he actually had a very comfortable background, with a financially very stable family, and attended Detroit Country Day, which is Michigan's ultimate rich kid preppy private school. And then at UM he made these statements about how he supposedly had to live in poverty as a student athlete--making it sound like he was struggling just to eat--only for it later to be revealed that he'd been taking a TON of illegal money and benefits during his two years there, including more than 200,000 dollars from just one guy alone.
