During One and Not Done they showed the preview for two part 30 for 30 on the lakers and Celtics rivalry in the 80s. Looks like it will be one of the best ones.

That rivalry was absolutely nuts. The NBA would love for the Cavs vs Warriors to grow into something close to that.
If it's on the 84 Finals, those were some epic games. It's probably on the whole 80's and every time they met.
Yeah I loved that but my favorite is when Bird was throwing the ball in and for some reason Michael Cooper was behind him out of bounds and Bird used his rear to knock him down into the fans. It was awesome and the Laker fans went bonkers.
I hate the Lakers and always have. I preferred the Celtics in that rivalry.
So did I and if they were healthy in 87 they would have beaten the lakers in my opinion. 86 Boston Celtics still the greatest team ever in my opinion and Bird, McHale and Parish were the best front line ever.
Game 3 in 84 Celtics got smoked and Bird called team sissies. Game 4 was the best game ever. Including Bird Kareem, McHale tackles Rambis and some others. A war.
I hate the Lakers with the intensity of 1000 white hot suns. Love seeing them exactly where they are right now.
I love it as well. POS group with the most bandwagon fans, used to developing teams through free agency and lopsided trades. I love that they let Kobe run them into the ground and no one wanted to play with him.
Still have my 1986 World Champs t-shirt. Was very fortunate to have lived in DC in those years and saw every game they played against the Bullets. Some of them were epic. I remember one OT game when Bird hit the three to send it to OT and then hit the game winner at the end.
I still hate the Lakers. Can't wait for this program.
UK basketball fan and Celtics fan...lol probably also Patriot fans and Red Wings fans and Yankee fans.
I've been a Celtics fan almost as long as I've been a UK fan. Just loved watching them as a kid, Bill Russell was my first real sports hero. Later I fortuitously married a guy from Massachusetts and became a fan of the other Boston teams. I hate the Yankees almost as much as the Lakers or North Carolina.
