Bengals haven't won a playoff game in ages. Not sure they can beat the Colts today. Down 13-7 at the half.

This game reminds me of the Panthers vs. Cardinals game yesterday to a much lesser extent, as the Bengals clearly have some offensive competence. That said, Colts look like the superior team, so Bengals better hope they can get some more turnovers to keep it respectable.

Not a Bengals fan but I'd like to see them break through and finally win a playoff game.

I think the Bengals are a much better team than the Colts. But key injuries are playing a crucial factor today. Not having A.J. Green out there today is obviously a major factor.

Not a Bengals fan, but I'm sure the blame Andy Dalton guy will be here in a minute. No weapons, Green hurt and should've kept Hawkins.

You spoke too soon, 13-10.

Don't forget that we're also missing Gresham(and the only reason he's starting is due to an injury to Tyler Eifert earlier in the season). He and Green are our two biggest receiving threats.

Andy Dalton with that same dear in headlights look. Good pik in draft and served a purpose when Bengals were awful but should have never paid him that much money and moved to a QB to take them to next level. Andy can't do that.

You're going to blame Andy Dalton? The #3 WR for this game is also their 3rd or 4th string running back. Missing their top 2 receiving targets of this year not to mention Eifert and Jones who have missed all season. Not to mention the defensive line that the Bengals have invested so much money in has not shown up all year and has really killed them today. Colts have almost 500 yards of offense. Watching this game how can you put the blame on Andy Dalton?

It's a shame not just Green but Gresham out of nowhere didn't make the start. But 10 points is generally no offense at all vs. Colts defense which is not a world beater. Sanu and Tate aren't slouches on the outside as they did a good job w/o Green middle of season...so it's not like they had no weapons.

Moreso...Dalton has come up small the past few years in critical games/playoffs. To throw that big of a contract at him was not ideal to me.

Hey there you are. I knew you were coming.

As a Lions fan, I know what it's like. The Lions have historically been a terrible franchise but man... The bengals are approaching on pathetic territory . Their last playoff win was 1990. 25 years now. Even the lions have a win in that time! ( 91 but still)

like I said before... One of the best stretches in Bungals history these past few years and they have nothing but big fat L's in the first round of the playoffs to show for it

Andy Dalton is mediocre at best. Having said that, I feel like they should have got rid of Marvin Lewis 2 or 3 years ago. The guy will never win anything. He just can't get them to the next level. The Bengals are going to piss away a good roster, one talent wise, that ranks very high in the league, and never win a damn thing. The previous 2 years the Bengals pass rush was awesome, but that now sucks too. I think losing Michael Johnson hurt.

Sanu had the hot stretch during the middle of the season but he's really struggled since. Leads the league in drops. Tate is a nice 4th stringer and sure handed fair catch punt returner, nothing more. The Bengals by far had the worst receiving corps of the playoff teams and not to mention a streaky QB. You make any QB play with that depleted of a receiving corps and he's gonna struggle. Dalton certainly didn't play great but he didn't play poorly either.

Sure Dalton is not elite, but who do you think the Bengals could get to replace him? The free agent QB pool is pathetic. And the Bengals keep making the postseason, so drafting a franchise QB is not really an option either at the bottom of the 1st round.

But, when Andy starts getting real expensive in a year or two and affects their ability to sign other players, they might have to consider releasing him.

They are going to have to find the money to sign AJ long-term. Sanu is just not a #1 receiver.

Missing Green, Eifert, Jones, and Gresham was a killer. Just a horrible time to be decimated by injuries. Hell, the Bengals had Rex Burkhead and Cobi Hamilton playing almost every snap today. It was Hamilton's 1st NFL game, IIRC. Burkhead spent most of the the last two seasons inactive on game day.

Considering the injuries Cincinnati dealt with all season long combined with a totally inept front four, it was a good season. We really need to add a couple of d-lineman.

UKeric the defensive front was a strength the last 2 seasons. Geno Atkins hasn't been back to form since the injury. Micheal Johnson loss has hurt. The pass rush was really good then but it's horrible now. I think losing Burfict has really hurt as well. I've never been high on Mualagua either.

Will Marvin Lewis be retained by the Bengals? I have not heard his name being mentioned as being on the hot seat.

I think Lewis is going to return. Mike Brown isn't one to fire people unless he really has to do it.

Making the playoffs 5 out of 6 years is impressive. Lewis has done a good job with the roster. I don't think he's the problem. I think his regular season record is 100-90-2. He's a good head coach.

He is not going anywhere unless he leaves in his own. Mike Brown is a buffoon of an owner and as long as he is around the franchise it will skate around mediocrity. Just good enough to keep fans in the seats and the city off his back. He is not his dad and until he is far away from that franchise it will not take the next big steps needed to ever win a Super Bowl. Bengals fans just need to come to grips with it or find another team.

That's kinda what I thought. I don't expect big things from them anymore. I'd rather pull for teams like Denver and Green Bay, who field former UK players.

Being objective (not a Bengals fan), everyone shares blame for the loss. But Bengal fans can't throw the majority of the blame on Dalton this time. He actually played fairly well.

add Burflict to the list
hopefully he returns 100%

this loss was on the D

it makes it impossible to run the ball with no down field threats

Have to disagree somewhat. Lewis is a good evaluator of talent, but not good at utilizing it. Gotta give him credit for making the Bengals respectable. Their drafts the last few years have been some of the best in the NFL. Atkins, Dunlap, Bernard, Green, Hill, Zeitler, etc. Excellent draft picks. 4 years in a row in the playoffs, very respectable.

However, his inability to get his teams prepared for big games is awful. He is not a good game manager or good at in-game adjustments. 12 years and no playoff wins speaks for itself. He just doesn't have the ability to get the team any further. Time to move on. Apparently cannot gameplan or motivate his team for big games.

Best Bengals roster maybe ever talent wise and it is being wasted. The NFL is a bottom line business and the bottom line with Lewis is that he is not got it done. Another year or 5 more will not change that.

This particular loss was not on Dalton's shouders. That said, IMO, even with his team at full strength, he is not a qb that can carry his team to a SB win.

The announcers on the pregame show were talking about qb's and said of the qb's left in the playoffs, Dalton would be the last one they'd pick.
