OT: Art Schlichter, A Career Criminal

Art was one of the many thousands of inmates I worked with in the Federal Prison system. Actually a very sad individual, he had the world by the tail and literally could not stay out of trouble.
Side note, at the time he wasn’t even the best qb on the compound in flag football.

Lord no and it's a different headache in every state.

What are the odds that a lawyer with a good and successful business would act wildly inappropriate, violate the terms of the trust, and single individuals out he’s not supposed to?

This guy has never been able to get his mind right. "American Greed" did an excellent show on him a few years ago.

This guy has an extensive history of REAL (nonviolent, but still very serious) crimes. This time, not so much. As a matter of fact, it shouldn't be a crime, at all.

I think when Bama hires Sabans replacement and Chumbly goes to Tuscaloosa,…. he may wanna consider coaching Tennessee football.

They don’t let pesky multiple felonious acts stand in the way. Plus imagine how great he’d be for the carjacking, assault & robberies on the team. I say he deserves a 4th chance.

Art did a bunch of gambling with my guy here in my little hometown . A bunch . The stories from my former bookie on Art were hilarious .. they said he always struggled to pay his losses .

The guy certainly had some demons. But as far as I know he wasn't violent, he tried to pay his debts. Which were larger than they should have been based on his ability to pay. With a little self controll he had a a shot. But Johnny Football, he just couldn't deal with success.
