True. New coach may be in the near future. Total beatdown.Originally posted by Mojocat:
Yep, pretty bad. Defense especially, but little imagination on offense or ability to adjust.
Right now, looks like Luck will suffer the same fate as Manning: mediocre coaching, poor defense, wins and losses entirely on his shoulders....
I thought the Bengals were masquerading as the Colts yesterday, it was that bad.Originally posted by Cawood86:
Having been a Bengals for fan over 40 years, I would trade Lewis and Dalton for Pagano and Luck in a New York second.
Lewis couldn't win a playoff game if his life depended on it. Dalton is not even worth discussing really.
Weak conference? 10 of the 16 teams won at least 9 games. The NFC only had 6 teams with a winning record. All AFC playoff teams won at least 10 games. Denver played the last month of the season with Manning suffering from a torn quad. Maybe they would have been better had that not happened. Pittsburgh lost one of its best offensive players for their playoff game. Maybe they beat Baltimore if that doesn't happen. Cincinnati lost about half of its starters for their game. Maybe, maybe they beat the Colts if that didn't happen. In my opinion, I thought the AFC was a very strong conference. Just look at Pittsburgh and the AFC North. They went 11-5 and was never in first place until week 17 if I'm not mistaken.Originally posted by kats23:
Probably, but the Broncos wouldn't of been much better or even the Steelers when you look at the 3 top seeds of the AFC. Very weak conference overall this year. Not sure how good the Pats are but I guess we'll find out in 2 weeks.
To me, it shows how even more over-valued the Broncos were IMO.Originally posted by Deeeefense:
Dome teams always have trouble outside and when you throw in rain and a lot of wind it spells big trouble. Notice the problems the Colts had catching the ball and fielding punts it also effected some of Luck's throws. Having said that, it does appear the Colts were greatly over-valued in this game.
Dalton and luck have similar stats over the same amount of time(Luck cam in a year later) even their QBRs is similar, not to mention the Colts have the better overall recieving corps! luck has the better future but Dalton has had a similar statline as Luck so far!Originally posted by Cawood86:

yeah, I had not factored the injuries in so that's a very good point. Looking head to head the AFC came out better at 32-31-1 against the NFC vs the 30-33-1 of the NFC vs the AFC. The crazy thing is the NFC North was 12-3-1 against the NFC. And the NFC East was 12-4 against the AFC. I guess I was just thinking of the crazy upsets throughout the year the NFC got against the AFC but when you break it down the AFC was the better conference.Originally posted by JBHolmesfan:
