The OP left out that this player is injured and hasn't played since Oct, and only played 3 games all year.Great, now the players are even sitting out playoff games, for pete's sake. Hell, just sit out the whole year and work out for NFL teams if that is what you want to do.
What a loser, and a quitter on his teamates.
I didn't know he was hurt, thread title has been edited. The OP left out that this player is injured and hasn't played since Oct, and only played 3 games all year.
OP may not have done it on purpose. I just did a quick search to see if there was more to the story and there is.

grown adults trashing this kid, is what is lame..... let him live his life and make decisions that is best for him. College sports is a business, not a loyalty game. It will be no different when Levis sits out. He has already been hurt all season, is OSU going to pay him a salary if he gets hurt again? no, this idea of kids must play is old and outdated. There is no loyalty in this world period, not when it comes to making money, so you do you dude. I wish they all would play, but at the same time, I totally get it
He plays for OSU. We’re allowed to call them names!!A good lesson here that we've all been guilty of falling for. A headline doesn't equal the whole story. Wished ESPN had put that he's been dealing with a lingering injury in their headline, but they didn't, which lead to one person here calling the dude names from behind a keyboard.
my point is your very last line. "You ought to me a little more mature"- what gives you or anyone the right to say his is immature or doing something wrong because he made the professional decision to enter the draft? How is that immature? Making that statement to me is arrogant, entitled and selfish. Are you same fans out here trashing each kid for us who has entered the portal? That's even less loyalty- they are going to another school. Look, I am not trying to attack you or anyone, but these kids are preparing for a life either in football or after football and the decisions they make should be their own and not what's best for the school or the fansGoing to have to respectfully disagree here, there is still plenty of loyalty and honor in the world, even when it comes to making money - and if making money is your only goal in life, you will live a pretty shallow and unhappy life. Further, I have seen personally in the business world, those who show a lot of honor and loyalty seem to end up doing just fine financially.
P.S. For the most part, these are not 15 year olds, they are 20-22 year olds who ought to be a little more mature.
You are so right. So many don't see this. Make life about others and your life will be a ton better. Whether it be football or anything else the best way to live. Your blessings will be 10 fold.Going to have to respectfully disagree here, there is still plenty of loyalty and honor in the world, even when it comes to making money - and if making money is your only goal in life, you will live a pretty shallow and unhappy life. Well that certainly puts his decision in a different light. The OP left out that this player is injured and hasn't played since Oct, and only played 3 games all year.

Did you read the article? He is injured. He said he wanted to play but the doctors said no, so he declared for the draft. This is very misleading.
In the business world your window of opportunity to make money is not limited like playing football. The kid is injured. This is a ridiculous assessment of the situation.Going to have to respectfully disagree here, there is still plenty of loyalty and honor in the world, even when it comes to making money - and if making money is your only goal in life, you will live a pretty shallow and unhappy life. Lol - so is this your attempt to shut it down? You responded to me remember? Anyway, you’re right it has and yes we are in different camps- which is fine. No harm no foulThis topic has been hashed and rehashed on here any number of times, you and I just simply disagree. Such is life.
Wasnt talking about the injured player at that point, was responding to the general comment that there is no honor or loyalty anywhere any more. Very much disagree with that statementIn the business world your window of opportunity to make money is not limited like playing football. The kid is injured. This is a ridiculous assessment of the situation.
Grown adults on SiriusXM were (kinda respectfully) ripping on him all day yesterday and today. It’s a hamstring…he’s a wuss.In the business world your window of opportunity to make money is not limited like playing football. The kid is injured. This is a ridiculous assessment of the situation.
