Signed with Illinois today as asst coach
mehI would have liked him back at UK.
Because he is good at recruiting and that is what Pope needs most. Why specifically?
ehhh, I look at it more that the liked it up there and didn't want to move to freakin' Fayetteville.
You're clueless.Because he is good at recruiting and that is what Pope needs most.
I'd rather him go with cal. Cal was going to get top guys regardless but now this opens up a spot for a xo coach. If O followed, cal would've been the xo guy lol
Brads got that covered.I'd rather him go with cal. Cal was going to get top guys regardless but now this opens up a spot for a xo coach. If O followed, cal would've been the xo guy lol
Link?
I think if you are outside of the Chicago area, Illinois would be an ok place. But, that is my guessYeah, I've been there...Ar-Kansas Ouch...
Hard to understand EVER moving to Illinois though but I guess there are decent places to move there as well.
I was in Fayetteville for nearly three years.... North Carolina though... Fort Bragg way...
I want to believe Pope has everything under control, but decisions like this make it hard

Part of our problem with Cal was the recruits he was getting. A bunch of gimme gimme types. I'm betting this is one of the reasons Pope went another direction in terms of staffing.Because he is good at recruiting and that is what Pope needs most.

No it won't. We don't want the types of guys Kentucky was getting a lot of lately. Nonphysical, lazy, me-first types. Pope made this clear.I want to believe Pope has everything under control, but decisions like this make it hard. This will 💯 come back to haunt Kentucky.
I don't think it will. Pope is a Mormon, not a moron. I trust his decisionsI want to believe Pope has everything under control, but decisions like this make it hard. This will 💯 come back to haunt Kentucky.
Valid point.Part of our problem with Cal was the recruits he was getting. A bunch of gimme gimme types. I'm betting this is one of the reasons Pope went another direction in terms of staffing.
Elaborate?
How do you know Cal wanted him in Arkansas?

Maybe there is some truth that he and Cal has some differences.Wild that he didn’t follow Cal
You're spot on.Just me and not posting against you but I doubt Coach Pope ever considers what Cow does in positive ways. (Like you mentioned.) He has probably been watching from afar since Cow arrived. Just me but I'd try to do things Cow did not do and take that is being correct.
All those recruits of Cow's did nothing for UK. (Yeah 2012 but that was the players, not Cow.)
Cow will go down in history as the Coach that did less with more than ANY coach in NCAA history.... Just a fact...
I would have liked him back at UK.
why would he be clueless for saying that? Antiqua was a great asset in recruiting and at least right now he would of been a real assist. I can understand Pope not wanting him given his supposed closeness with Cal for decades and Cal coaches in the SEC. However I could definitley understand wanting him to stay as he is known as a great recruit whisperer and that is something Pope needs at this level till he really gets his footing at least. You're clueless.
He won’t hire a x and o coach he knows it allI'd rather him go with cal. Cal was going to get top guys regardless but now this opens up a spot for a xo coach. If O followed, cal would've been the xo guy lol
Brad technically does have 1 year of eligibility still left.Earned not given is the type of players Pope wants. We want hungry kids and coaches not fat and happy like Cal.
Of course you'd spin it this way. You defended Cal all the way until the end.ehhh, I look at it more that they liked it up there and didn't want to move to freakin' Fayetteville.
