the Hazard kid loves UK, UK Basketball and the Joe Craft I knew would be furious with the situation. Joe was a Rupp guy. He knows what it means. I can’t believe if he has as much to say as some of you think he does that this will last much longer.
I'd kinda go with he doesn't have as much influence as some think.
He can get his name put on a building but I don't think he can influence Mitch into doing something that's not his idea.
The reason I say this is because the massive(and getting bigger) SEC TV contract and conference revenue sharing is funding the athletic dept to the extent that it minimizes booster influence.
Not saying he doesn't have any but I don't think he is a shot caller when Mitch and Capulito has this lucrative revenue stream coming in.
You are correct about the revenue coming in from the SEC, but so does every other SEC school. That’s when boosters and fans make a difference.
I wasn't talking about NIL, was more referring to having influence within the athletic dept.
