O'Neill

25 but last I read Coen may not be that interested in O'Neil. He will see
I'm not that worried. He's probably not an immediate starter anyway and most of these kids don't want to wait 2-3 years to be the starter so there's a decent chance he would transfer before being the man anyway.

He's not getting a sniff at pt until CP's son is gone. CP will also jump at the first pro job that comes along.
What year is his son? Is he a junior? can see him going pro after a year at CU if he’s successful. He’s a pretty good QB.

Is it? Or is he just going to keep The 15 honest with their offer?
I don't know what The 15 offered, but I do know what Tennessee will pay upfront if they want him as QB1 in the 24 class....
And they have already declared Boley as their #1 target for the class.

You are confused, Cutter Boley is right now a hs sophomore, he is in the 2025 recruiting class. Knoxville hasn't declared Jack shit.

Yes, there does appear to be some alarmism and confusion. By all accounts, TN's top early QB targets in 2025 will be Bryce Underwood out of MI and George MacIntyre from Brentwood, TN. But TN has already offered at least 10 scholarships to 2025 QBs, and it is still too early to have any idea where these 2025 prospects will end up.

A lot of hystrionics have been generated on all sides of the NIL issue. Some fans regard every recruitment as a bidding contest. While some hs players undoubtedly sign with the highest bidder, IMO it is far too simplistic and naive to believe all will do so. Each player is an individual. Some have parental guidance, while others take advice from trainers and handlers. Some are motivated by their NFL ambitions. Believe it or not, some have career plans and want a good education. Many will be swayed by how comfortable they are on campus, or how good they feel around the "family atmosphere" with the team and coaches. I am not making this stuff up. If you listen to hs players' comments after they commit, they cite all of these factors as well as others. Straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

You are correct that he is currently a 2025 recruiting but could reclassify if needed. And, sir, Knoxville and UT HAVE declared Jack shit concerning Boley.
Check yourself.

It appears the Tennessee Vols have already identified their next big quarterback recruiting target.

According to Rivals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney, Tennessee has made it clear to 2025 four-star quarterback Cutter Boley that he’s the Vols’ top quarterback priority in the 2025 recruiting class.

From Rivals.com:
THE MESSAGE FROM TENNESSEE TO BOLEY COULD NOT BE CLEARER THAT HE’S AT THE TOP OF THE QUARTERBACK BOARD AND THAT HE’S A MAJOR PRIORITY IN THE 2025 CLASS. THAT HAS GONE OVER WELL AS THE LEXINGTON (KY.) LEXINGTON CHRISTIAN ACADEMY FOUR-STAR QUARTERBACK HAS HIT IT OFF WITH COACH JOSH HEUPEL AND OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR JOEY HALZLE.

You are placing a whole lot of confidence in an early Rivals analysis. In my experience, these very early online analyses are almost never accurate with respect to the eventual outcome. It will be another 2 years before Boley signs. Reclassifications are almost solely a basketball phenomenon. When hs football players reclassify, it is usually (not always) backward, into the following class. There is an occasional forward reclassification in football, but it is very rare. Boley's recruitment is just beginning. At this point, he has reportedly received at least 7 SEC scholarship offers, and you can expect that number to increase. From Boley's own mouth, he likes Coach Coen and plans to visit UK, CO, MI, PA St, AL, GA, Clemson, and FL St. He will be at UK this weekend for the UK-KS basketball game.

The fact that Boley plays at a Lexington area hs is not a guarantee for UK, but it is a huge advantage. Walker Parks was the last time I can remember UK missing on a Lexington prospect Coach Marrow really wanted. Since then, Marrow has had an iron grip on Lexington. Coen's return to Lexington increases UK's advantage a lot. If Leary has a good season, that will look very good to Boley. It doesn't mean Boley will sign with UK, but you are making a huge leap by suggesting TN is the main threat. In fact, that is likely to be Clemson or FL St reading between the lines of what Boley himself has said. Boley's parents are huge UK fans. I'm sure they probably won't force the issue, but picking TN would not make the family happy.

I certainly hope you are right.

It would hurt my soul to see this kid in Puke Orange.

I am not making predictions, just pointing out where you have posted statements about UK's football program or recruiting that are demonstrably false and misleading.
