Has asked out of his commitment. Hes a local kid who can play some ball, i feel hes underanked and be should be ranked pretty high.
The assistant coach at Ole Miss who recruited him for two years has left and went to LSU. There is some rumors that Andy Kennedy will be fired because I have heard that his contract was not extended. I know that several ACC, big east and Big 10 schools are in contact with him right now.

Dude is deceptively athletic and can knock em down as soon as he crosses half court.

I wouldn't fire Andy Kennedy if I was ole miss, but that's me. Ole miss has consistently given UK problems and competed with sub par talent

I'll agree he is a gym rat that plays like a coach on the floor and will improve immensely over his 4 years.

It just will not be at UK, I don't think. His ceiling is a Mulder/Hawkins type player and Calipari won't invest a scholarship into such a project player. He isn't anywhere close to where Baker or Willis were coming out of HS, and I believe that's about as low as Calipari is willing to go if he were to use one of his last 2 scholarships.

Best of luck to the kid. I hope he proves me wrong in every game he plays except UK. He might be a decent late pickup for OSU or IU to take a chance on with so few players left across the country.

All in my completely worthless opinion as always.

Yeah, but how do they play against everyone not named UK?
Everyone in the SEC plays like their lives depend on it when they're playing UK, but then turn around and play like they don't care when it's not UK.

hmm I've watched hundreds of 4-5 star guys over the past several decades and he is as good as a 4 star player that I have seen. He can get his shot up quick and with little space and has excellent size. Their is a reason why Georgtown, Ohio St, Iowa St, Illinois, etc etc etc all want him. Before he committed to Ole Miss he had half the SEC after him. Their is no way hes going to a SEC school I don't think because of he got his release but from what I'm told hes not supposed to consinder SEC schools. He wanted to go to LSU with the assistant who left Ole Miss and went to LSU. The assistant told him that Kennedy was basically a dead man walking.

I knew that Patrick Ewing was on the phone with him as soon as it was official and he flew out of Memphis to visit Georgetown. Kid will play and be a factor by his junior year. I think their will be an adjustment period for his freshmen year though.
I was the one who saw Otto Porter play in HS across the river in Missouri and come to the board and raved about him. Ended up climbing the rankings. Talked to his friends and family and he loved UK. Tried to get some attention for him and he was poo poo'd on here and he later got a lot of offers and committed to Georgetown and ended up being the #3 pick in the draft.

Don't think this kid is a NBA player but he has the potential to be a Chris Lofton with some work.

If the kid has offers from not so bad schools, I doubt the kid would consider walking on at Kentucky. With the next recruiting class being as loaded as it looks to be, no way Cal gives the kid a free ride. For Cal to use one, it would have to be the type of player that could help the team from day 1. No offense, but if Cal offered and accepted every secret future star hinted at on this forum, I don't think we are as big contenders as we seem to be every year Cal has coached Kentucky. I hope the kid finds a school and as long as not playing Kentucky, I wish the kid the best!

If this is the kid from a Union City I saw him play at Graves County this year. He started out on fire in the first quarter and then they played a sort of box and one defense on him and after the first quarter I think he only made one basket. He got frustrated and I thought he quit working to get open. I think his dad is the coach at UTM!

I hope that you prove me wrong and he turns into a great Chris Loften type player.

I still worry that his best case is a Sr Mychael Mulder type player his second year here. That's NOT a bad thing at all. Mulder was Cal's most underrated Cat, IMO. Had he not had such talent ahead of him or were the man at SG at a lesser P5 school like Vandy or Georgia, I could've seen him starting and scoring 12 ppg+ while shooting close to 40% from 3 and having nights where he EXPLODES on the box score.

After 4 years of hard work maybe Stewart can become such a player. I just don't see him ever getting his chance at UK, much like Mulder never saw here.

Mulder had his chance against UNC and performed very underwhelmingly. He missed every shot, most of them wide open.

Very true. Was a bad game for him. Coming off the bench and hitting shots right away is hard for most everyone.

My point was if he had a full season of 30 mpg games, he would have flourished at the right school. I think Cal took him as insurance incase Fox or Monk turned him down the following year. When they both came, he was relegated to spot minutes he had to share with Hawkins. I wouldn't be shocked if he made it to Europe and made some nice dough playing internationally.

No he wouldn't consider walking on here. Doubt he goes to another SEC school. This kid is not chopped liver, he is a very good player. Their is a reason why he had around 15-20 offers from power five schools before he committed to Ole Miss. After getting his release he has been in contact with multiple high major schools and just visited Georgetown. Not Georgetown college but Georgetown University

You are correct that he will not end up here. Not because I do not think he can compete but because he told Ole Miss that he wasn't going to consider SEC schools. But the assistant that went to LSU wants him bad. If he had more pub and highly ranked then Cal would look at him.
I've watched numerous players that we have had play in HS including Hawkins and he is much better than Hawkins. Not on his level athletically by no means but he has much better ball skills and this kid can light up the score board.
If I had to make a comparison on scoring ability at the HS level I'd say this kid is slightly less than Murray was. I watched Murray play several times in HS but Murray has much better instincts and creativity. Both are similar in getting their shot up with little space and same athletic ability and similar size as well. Parker is a better defensive player though. If I had to rank him I'd put him in the 80-100 range.

If Mulder had a redshirt his first season here I think he would have shined next season. Started to look more comfortable on the court this past season. Also you got to love his dad as well. Love to have parents such as him as part of bbn.

That is the way most schools ended up playing him that got familiar with him. He was the sole center focus of the D when teams started double or triple teaming him he would slack off some and find open teammates. Hes got some talent. Averaged mid 20's probably
