I was hoping we'd be building depth along the OL, but, so far, we're down one more than we picked up. Kind of surprised at Ray leaving, ambivalent about Keenum. Keenum was the obvious heir apparent at C but, after 2 years and Eli graduating, he doesn't feel like he's the guy (or, more likely, the coaches told him he's not the guy)? Another evaluation miss in the 2023 class, evidently. I'm assuming the staff have high confidence that a C is coming on board from the portal (WKU guy?) so Keenum was told he'd be 2nd string still. Ford never panned out, some due to injury, and I'm not sure I ever saw Christman on the field except perhaps on ST, so those two are not 'depth' pieces and weren't going to be depth pieces.

I am not going to be all that optimistic in the preseason this year. Got burned by this past year and I'm going to wait and see how the first few games play out before I get too high on the team. It sure looks like we've still got some pretty big holes to fill (RB, OT, LB) and our schedule is going to be very tough again.

Saw some comments that the incoming OG Braun wanted to work at C, that may have something to do with Keenum hauling. Keenum/Christman were mainly on FG/XP unit. Keenum at OG, Christman at OT. More OLs coming but I get the feeling they missed the boat on Hansen....Hardy and Fields too.
