1. Quade
2. Alexander
3. Baker
4. Vanderbilt
5. Knox
6. Washington
7. Wenyen
8. SKJ
9. Richards
10. Lumberjack
11. Hami?
12. Bamba?
13. Johnson (probably not with Knox)
I think it's worth looking at the urgency of Diallo/Bamba with this in mind.
I think we can agree that Bamba is still necessary to guarantee a top flight frontcourt.
It also seems hard to envision Johnson coming back, even without Hami, because a guy who is transferring in his situation is looking for immediate big minutes.
However,
Hami coming back on the wing is really interesting, with:
Baker who is more guard
Washington and Wenyen who are more forward
Vanderbilt/Knox are pretty versatile at the college level
Of course I want him to come back, especially for his experience in Cal's system, but we got another guy who can shoot, whereas Diallo is known as a brickmason. There's a saying about quantities of shooters on this board which needs not be repeated.
With no more additions, I think we end up a young and dangerous dark horse contender 5-10 range team starting Quade, a wing trio of death (take your pick) and hopefully SKJ showing all that potential late-season.
With Bamba, swap him in at the 5, and I think we have some youth bumps early, but we're the clear best team in the country as soon as Quade mind-melds with Cal (think Ulis, sophomore Andrew Harrison, late season Wall/Knight/Teague).
With Hami and Bamba, take away some of those early season bumps, and increase the RPM of that buzzsaw in March.
