It does suck royally. I hated to see us blow this one. But keep in mind in '11 we lost to Ole Miss (went to NIT) & Arkansas (no postseason at all); both 7-9 in the SEC. In '14 we lost to South Carolina; 5-13 SEC, 13-20 overall. As much as this sucks, it's nothing new.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not pumping sunshine here. This team has played some ugly games. But Cal's underachieving teams have peaked in March. This season isn't a failure yet. It COULD be, but not yet.

Good post. I agree and it gives me reason to believe. But I just don't think this team has the talent the 11 or 14 teams had. Not close especially up front. But this years appears to be pretty wide open nationally.

I don't believe we lost to Ole Miss in 11 unless we lost to them at home because we beat them at the Tad pad. That was the game where Noel blocked everything in sight, a lot of them were when he had 4 fouls. One of the best defensive performances I've ever seen. We won that game.

Noel was there in 12-13. This was the Knight team that went to the final 4. Yes we lost to a bad Ole Miss team.
