Wonder why John Young has not got a chance with the struggles we have had ?
This has been my biggest question for these first 3 games. He looked great in the Spring Game, yet isn't getting any meaningful snaps so far. He was a 4 star, highly rated recruit. He is HUGE also!! Really thought he would be a factor this year. Hope his development hasn't stalled.
Flax wasn’t your problem last week. Definitely not. Watching film he done very well.
They played much better at Florida, mostly in the second half so there is hope. No Manning was a big negative. Not surprised to see some players relaxing a bit against an FBS opponent coming off a big SEC win.

These lesser opponents are running WAY MORE stunts and twists than the SEC Opponents we play will. Maybe that is what was the difference in the 2nd half of UF and the other 2 games.
However, I feel like we have enough talent, we just need more recognition pre-snap from Eli AND Will. That would go a long way in fixing a lot of our problems. Drake was AWESOME at it, which gives me hope that it can get better. But Will recognizing what the defense is trying to do has to also get better.

I mentioned elsewhere I'm surprised and disappointed we haven't seen Goodwin, Young or Buford other than STs.
Ah, the old let Gatewood or Beau start over Terry Wilson strategy. So glad kentucky fans have matured to learn the other positions on the field are important too. Let's not hoard our uninformed ideas to just one position.
