I think it may have gone from 55-45 stay to 35-65 fired just after the Mizzou series . Baseball can be funny , but losing to EKU and 2 of 3 to Missouri in a week is very telling . In addition , very little hope of any postseason now ...
IDK what the financial repercussions would be .....

Wouldn't be a ton but there would be some. UK gave him an extension last year, I guess as a vote of confidence and to help with recruiting.

I don't know how Barnhart feels, but it seems to me that with 5 league wins it's very possible that we end up with less than 10 wins in league play, and we're currently in last place. That's inexcusable and we should fire him. Should be no doubt. Even moreso given that we likely lose our top 10 or 11 offensive players as well as like 4 of out top pitchers. So, next year could be absolutely abysmal.

Have to fire him. I'd say we should be at 75 percent at this point.

Barring an absolute miracle short of Jesus coming back and UK making the tournament, I’d lean more towards 80/20 of him getting fired. What worries me is Barnhartt blames all the injuries and gives him a pass yet again. Don’t think it’ll happen but I’ve been wrong before.

UK baseball is already more popular than it has ever been, IMO. People are at least more connected and know about it and what is going on. Those people are even under the belief and understanding that it's time to change. So, I think the pressure is higher than it's been in the past. Not so much donor wise, but at least with fan grumbling and I'm hoping that helps to push the Mingione decision.

Anything other than 100% he's gone is un-****ing-acceptable. That extension never should have happened and getting clown by Missouri is outright absurd. The Tigers aren't good this year. Spare me the road in the SEC series crap.

Pitiful

I just want a damn REAL SEC baseball program. One we can all be proud of. I go to a several games a year, and I listen more often than not on the radio rather than watch on TV because I can multitask at work or in the yard at home.

I don't want my rant to come off as whining about the guys playing. I'll always support them. But the staff is clearly not getting it done or putting them in the position to win. I'm tired of it. Sick and tired of it. Kentucky CAN produce winning baseball. Consistently. Damn this stuff makes me mad!

It seems to me over the last couple of years, the problem is the head coach. He’s gone through assistants, pitching coaches, even directors of baseball operations and what is the problem? Why does it keep happening? It’s the coach!! It’s not that difficult to figure out. Last year with the transfer portal; that alone should've been very revealing. Look at what past players go on to. How well they do other places. He is not a head coach, he should be a stats guy because that’s all he does, that’s how he coaches!! He plays the odds, but at some point you need to have a feel for the game. He has a used car salesman personality, and he can talk his way out of things. I’ve heard from several former players from the past 2 years on how much he is disliked. What does it take? What’s the definition of insanity?

Kentucky baseball needs a complete reset. Mingione has been given every opportunity to prove his worth and it just hasn’t worked out. I just don’t see any way mitch doesn’t let him go at this point. This fan base would support a good baseball program well we just have to get there which is easier said than done.
