Former Ohio State Offensive Lineman Ben Christman Transfers to Kentucky
Former Ohio State offensive lineman Ben Christman will head one state south to Kentucky after two seasons in Columbus.www.elevenwarriors.com
He from Ohio. I’m sure Vince was the first coach to call him.I didn’t even know he was on our radar. Welcome Ben!
Guess football coach tries to improve his team, while ccc has to ask permissionStoops doing a better job in the portal than our phony basketball coach.

Or.....Looks like a guard all the way.
Possible depth in 2023 and competes for a starting spot in 2024 is his rationale.
No kidding. Obviously it's not a guarantee that any of these FB transfers will be good...but at least Stoops is trying to fix the problem. Cal is a joke with the portal.Stoops doing a better job in the portal than our phony basketball coach.
Why didn’t he get these kind of portal OL transfers before last season ?? Rich Scang could’ve used them, for sure.No kidding. Obviously it's not a guarantee that any of these FB transfers will be good...but at least Stoops is trying to fix the problem. Cal is a joke with the portal.
It's a good question but I'm guessing nobody thought the line was going to be that bad or maybe they would have. Why didn’t he get these kind or portal OL transfers before last season ?? Rich Scang could’ve used them, for sure.
It wasn’t for lack of trying. they tried to get Tyler Steen who decided to go to Alabama and then there was Tashawn Manning who we got. Beyond that there weren’t many good options in the portal. It was expected that Flax would take a step forward at RT.Why didn’t he get these kind or portal OL transfers before last season ?? Rich Scang could’ve used them, for sure.

Probably hard to get transfers when you have four of the top ten recruits plus a top 25 legacy one coming in, plus some returning talent. No kidding. I hated to see Buford go.......I didn't ever see anything in Wohlbaugh.Way better than guys who left
Not nice don.Stoops doing a better job in the portal than our phony basketball coach.
I think this has been discussed somewhere before, views/assessments of players before their starting college can change once the player gets to school & tries to compete.Kind of mind blowing we brought in O line transfers from
Alabama
Southern Cal
Ohio State
All in 1 offseason
And before anyone observes 'they were 3rd & 4th string there!@#', that ain't how those powerhouses viewed them when recruiting & signing them.
Can also depend on coaches evaluation of players and what position the coaches have them playing. Sometimes a change of scenery makes a big difference with some players.I think this has been discussed somewhere before, views/assessments of players before their starting college can change once the player gets to school & tries to compete.
Did Christman play at all in two years at OSU? Thanks.
Just calling it like I see it.Not nice don.
They tried. They were a final choice for several, but lost out. I remember Wolford took one with him to Bama when he bailed at the last moment. Why didn’t he get these kind of portal OL transfers before last season ?? Rich Scang could’ve used them, for sure.
9 snaps. Total. He's not coming in and starting.I think this has been discussed somewhere before, views/assessments of players before their starting college can change once the player gets to school & tries to compete.

We haven't seen these guys play yet. Hopefully, they can play at a high level, not just MAC level.Just calling it like I see it.
