I'd bet big money Cal would rather have a team with balanced scoring and effort. Me too. Doesn't have that now and until he does look for a few more monster games from Murray.Obviously, I want Murray to keep lighting it up, but not if it only happens when we are losing.

You sir are a genius. When you are down double digits, there is little pressure but lots of adrenaline. It's the easiest time to get in a zone.
Doc I agree with you in principal. However, Murray is our zone buster and if teams are going to sag to prevent the dribble drive..thank God we have at least one guy who can make them pay.It means we have a bunch of other players who aren't holding up their end of the deal.A one man team is easier to beat than one with multiple players chipping in to get stuff done
I'm not saying they won't step up(in fact I think more than one will) but they didn't in the OSU game,we aren't built that way and will find it hard to win as a one man show.As I said in another post, if you were told before the game that Murray(or any player for that matter)would score 33 how much would you have been willing to bet that we would win?Doc I agree with you in principal. I also think Ulis will start knocking threes down with consistency as well.

This is obviously just opinion, but I'm afraid that this happens when Cal's "Plan A" goes out the window. It appears that "Plan B" is to tell Murray to try to dig us out of a hole by taking over the game. Now, this begs the question - what is "Plan A"? So far, it appears that most players are being instructed to avoid jumpers in lieu of driving to the hole and either go to the rim (and force a bad shot) or throw a lob. I'm also afraid that this is because Cal has realized that we are not a good shooting team (sans Murray, and maybe Ulis eventually). The downside to this is that, when going to the rim, a lot of foul shot opportunities are created, and converting free throws is something we don't particularly excel in. So, with all of that said, we see Murray "lighting it up" when we're trying to rally from a late comeback, but that doesn't mean he can't otherwise. But, unless Cal changes the game plan, we may only see it in the prior scenario.Obviously, I want Murray to keep lighting it up, but not if it only happens when we are losing.
