Not 'realistic' to expect city can lower maximum KFC Yum! Center payment

Thanks Mayor! Way to take the hard line to get UL in line and get them to adjust that inconceivable lease agreement that is their cash cow. What the hell --its only tax payer money right? As long as UL's AD gets it who cares? They are so great handling it. Hookers etc. Great leadership. Should have voted for Hal Heiner

the slime pit that is uavel continues to suck the Ciy of Louisville dry..Turtleneck must be back dooring Mayor Fischer..this is unbelievable..

While I'm not sure of the agreement details of this mess, I took the article to mean the mayor believes the significant shortfall in revenue will not allow the city to reduce their payment. I don't necessarily think this is in anyway advantageous to ul.

You are right. They can continue to clear $28 million each year from basketball.

We thought that the 9.8 million(which was the max they could give) in tax payer dollars the City was paying to Yum would go down as it became self sufficient. Instead it goes up to 10.8 now and I guess UL gets its cut out of that as well. Great job Mayor.

Huh ? As pointed out above they continue to draw out 28 million a year plus while UK fans help pay for Yum. BTW a fair amount for them to make would be about ten million which us about what We make at Rupp.

Basically, our leaders have favored UL with a fifteen to eighteen million windfall annually to give them a HUGE advantage over UK . I understand why Fisher did that he's a big UL fan and hates UK and is laughing at us behind our backs as is Jurich.

However how legislators out in the state got snookered is beyond me. How they will explain putting us at a huge financial disadvantage to their UK voters should really get interesting . Hopefully many of them will get beat on this issue as their opponents ram it up their rear end.
