NEW: Nation's No. 1 recruit DeAndre Ayton has a scholarship offer from Kentucky http://bit.ly/1RcUTnM

Ayton is considered the No. 1 basketball player in the class of 2017 by all of the major recruiting services. Scout.com recently ranked him as the No. 1 prospect in all of high school basketball on a list that included older players from the 2015 and 2016 classes.

Ayton is the dude who ATE UP North Carolina last year in the Bahamas as a 16-year-old. And Carolina had a helluva frontline.

Born 7/23/98. Almost 17.

So he'll already be 18 next summer.

Sounds like he should definitely look to reclassify.

He's from the Bahamas, though. So, he could go straight to the draft in 2016 as an international player if his stock is high enough, right?

That top 100 HS players list (I think it was from February) has him number 1. If he is the best player regardless of class, he probably has to be thinking of jumping straight to the NBA.

No. Every player, regardless of where they're from, has to turn 19 the calendar year they're drafted.

I believe he plays high school ball in California, so the one-year removed from High School would apply to him. Plus (as was mentioned previously) he has to turn 19 y.o. in 2016 to be eligible.

Yeah I was going to post that one too.. Trying to slow down...Yall are a angry bunch..

For the record, I have nothing against what you do. I like to pick and choose what I read. You do give a lot of choices. Don't take what I say about you personally. I don't know you. I wouldn't mind sharing Walleye with you as you are totally correct. Those are the best eating fish "they" are.

Please take any jab I throw as light-hearted fun. If I go too far chalk it up to my ignorance. As Jerry Clower used to say; "I love everybody."
