I know the Crafts support the baseball team, which at the moment has only like 12 scholarships (maybe less)
But what would prevent a Joe Craft from simply saying, OK, Nick M, here is $1.5M, that covers full room and board for 30 or 40 players, without regard to scholarship. Is there any reason to have scholarship limits with NIL these days? They would be irrelevant in my scenario. If Craft can simply give him enough money to pay for everything and then some, why would the NCAA even need to keep a record of scholarships?
