I don't understand the constant desire to nickname players or teams. Every season, someone wants to give the team a nickname. Why? Good nicknames happen organically.

Hey OP, how about Kevin "Blocks" Knox? Get it? It's a play on the words 'Knox' and 'blocks' (also known as a "pun"), which, as most of us know, is both the last name of a current player AND a generic gelatinous treat often given to infants -- but it (blocks) is also a basketball play. Here, however, I've cleverly juxtaposed Knox and blocks so that the nickname falls between his first name and surname.
I think when now have to say that horses have a Wenyen peen.
