Is finished. Age and changing times have caught up with old Nick.

I have watched Saban make some of the worst decisions that resulted in losing games that 5 years ago he would have never made.

I believe a loss to Kiffen next week could send him into retirement. Dude is slipping big time.

Kirby has left Saban in his dust.

Well..not so faat

1. Bama has slipped this season for sure. Won’t argue that
2. Kirby got a ring and UGA looks tremendous. But Saban out coaches Kirby in Sec championship game and was on his way in title game u til all his Wr got hurt
3. Saban looked dead in water after Tua season snd them come back with a great season under Mac Jones and nobody could stay withi a score of them

I wonder wjtb Will Anderson leaving and is Bryce Young coming back..can they get key players to Bama. But Saban is elite and has resources with NIL to grab players he needs hire the coaches he needs to get back in top

I actually think his coaching staff is below par. Bama looks unprepared, undisciplined, and totally different from Saban teams in the past.

You know that has to be eating him alive. I think he is a lot like Cal, maybe burned out a little and too old to fight his way back to the top.

It takes a lot of energy to climb back up that mountain once you pass 70 and get pushed off the top.

Speaking from experience.

Young has zero elite receivers to throw to. Just think how much Barion Brown would develop in Tuscaloosa. That would be scary. Gibbs is a very good player, betcha can’t name a WR on their team. Minus the bum who transferred from UGA.

Whatever happened to the UL star WR that transferred to Bama and was supposed to be their deep guy to replace Waddle??

He got hurt in the preseason and hasn’t played other than a cameo in the Mississippi State game where he made his only catch of the season thus far. Hard to say how much of an impact he would have made if healthy, but a legitimate vertical threat has definitely been something missing from their offense this year compared to the last several.

Exactly. We aren't having this convo if alabamas two stud wrs are healthy for the national title game imo.

Bama's lost 2 games in OT on the road in the SEC. His biggest problem right now getting his QB healthy, same as UK. You can bet these losses are eating at him and he'll do what he needs to do to get them corrected.
The UT game wasn't an OT game, as UT won the game in regulation as time expired. I agree wth everything else you said though. This is not the way Saban wants his career to end. Besides, he said recently he is not near retirement. He may need to make some adjustments as the SEC is getting even better with UGA being the kingpin right now, Brian Kelly coming into the league, Texas and OU coming in, and lots of up and coming coaches, bur I think Saban thrivea on challenges and loves the challenge

My bad, thanks for the correction. Changed my original post.

Interesting that both Saban's and Kelly's coaching careers run thru the MAC.

Did you just compare yourself to Nick Fing Saban?

Will always believe Bama was suppose to win the SEC to get 2 teams in the ayoffs. We played 14 games putting pressure on the O, 1 game dropping into zone, guess which was the one. UGA started 3 frosh receivers, it's on Nick for padding stats and not getting younger guys ready to step up, another example of not developing those 4 and 5* guys. He has lost some, still one of the best, but mistakes are getting more frequent. I mean their OL and secondary play bad with enough 5* to fill every position.

A 3-6 disaster team in Texas A&M played in Tuscaloosa, down 20-24, and was throwing into the end zone as time expired

Mediocre Texas would have beat them if not for injury to Quentin

Yes but they could easily be 9-0 also. They’re a victim of their own success!

I think it's staff attrition finally catching up. He's literally had years and years of annually replacing key staff. It was bound to happen that he'd finally feel all those staff losses. Hard to believe it's taken this long
I’m available for $92,500 a year. Game Management Coordinator. “We” (Alabama) would have won on a last second FG had I been in the position. The two-point conversion should only be used during extreme circumstances. It’s ruining the game, but also it’s very difficult on my OCD. Like the Lions today, kick the damn PAT and let’s have a clean 7-0 game. Who the hell wants a 6-0 or 8-0 start to a game? Smh.

But strangely he has had the same DC for 4 yrs, same OC for 2 seasons

Unfortunately, you are spot on. And I also think CMS has some serious staff issues this year.

Losing OC, OL coach, D backs coach, is showing up on game days.
Stoops is not a seasoned head coach by any stretch. He needs experienced people around him and listen to them.
