Just thought I'd post a few random but nice stats from the game...some were probably noticed but some that maybe weren't all that noticed

TEAM:
  • Almost 2:1 ast:TO ratio even WITH an uncharacteristic 13 TOs
  • Outrebounded MSU 41 to 33; minor difference in offensive rebounds w/ UK 9, MSU 11 (sure seemed like they had more than that when watching it)
  • After giving up a 14 lead to go down by 3, team goes on a 13-6 game clinching run with 5 straight possessions without missing a shot
  • MSU's Cam Matthews held scoreless the last 8:21 (after his ridiculous banked in 3 pointer)...I really thought the game was probably over after that 6 point possession by MSU. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong from that crap banked 3 going in while being gifted the foul call under the basket followed by the made 3ptr from the corner. Seemed like another, "this is not the Cats day", kinda moment.

INDIVIDUAL:
  • Butler: 8 ast/0 TO
  • Almonor: 3/6 from 3 with 3 straight during the game clinching run mentioned above
  • Amari: 12 rebs... I know some feel it should be more (maybe should be), but he played tough today
  • Oweh: 8 rebs...those were huge against this MSU team

I also believe Mathews and miss state were exhausted late. The energy teams have to expend guarding us when the referees let us run our offense is overlooked. It’s a factor.

And that's without Kriisa in the lineup. This game only 8 guys played 10 minutes or more, and Brea was only 10 mins, Garrison only 17. The starters plus Almonor really gutted this thing out...especially impressive considering Carr's back issues in the midst of it as well.

That 6 point swing was danger. Should've been a foul on msu ryat they called it out on Amari, and then I didn't get a good look at the baseline foul...looked like he tripped over his own feet.

Speaking of Kriisa, how close is he to being able to play again? He looked relatively pain-free on the sidelines.
