Which team do you think had the ugliest win?
You could argue South Carolina's opponent UNC was a better them and ULL, but UNC played horribly especially their QB with 3 TOs 2 of them in the end zone. But South Carolina at least kept their heads in the game and made enough plays to win. OTOH ULL played a very focused and passionate game.
Kentucky cruised to an early halftime lead, seemingly with ease, then apparently the team decided the game ended at half time and while standing around discussing after game parties the roof caved in. Only with big plays by Mel Lewis to stop the winning ULL drive with a big negative play; a huge catch to get near the first down marker on 4th down by Charles Walker; and then the determined tackle breaking run by Horton, were the CATS able to pull this one out.
I think Kentucky has the bigger upside and we do get some folks back next week which will help. Towles may not have looked great all the time tonight but his big arm was on display and South Carolina has to at least be concerned about that.
