He's been hard at work over the summer, playing in the Chileague Pro Am, where he averaged 18.3 points, 3.7 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. Competition ranges from high school players to professionals (though the competition was said to be very, very good all around, there were pros playing).

Link to the mixtape is below!

Definition of having the ball on a string. He is a 5'9 Steph Curry. The open three is pretty much auto. I've heard it said, even by some of our fans, that he can't create his own shot. Well first of all, he has the sky scraping floater that I don't think even Anthony Davis could block. Second, if there is a screen and you try to go under it, he'll make you pay. I know that doesn't exactly qualify as "creating on your own" but if you pay attention, you see that he is setting up opportunities for himself and capitalizes on defensive mistakes without hesitating, always one or two steps ahead of the defense. How many bad shots did Ulis take last season? You could probably only count on one hand. He is an excellent decision maker, that's an intangible that doesn't get mentioned often enough.

He certainly created for himself many times in that mixtape. Kid pinballs around in the paint, and he has some slashing moves to him now. He's definitely gotten thicker also. Looking forward to seeing him with his new scorers mentality.

If Cal lets him play close to that flashy and loose, count me surprised....but a good surprise. I trust this kid, he is wired different!! Id bet a large sum he leaves here with a National Champioship!!

Thanks OP. Kid is a one man press breaker. God I can't wait till this years team takes the court. We are going to play FAST!

Sick handles. Tear drop shot, which he'll need, is improving a lot it seems. Finds pass angles and steal angles that don't exist for run of the mill players, which keeps the defense off it's game. Any detriments he may have, size and strength, he makes up for in a bunch of different ways. I don't think you'll see him with a negative +/- very often.

He just screams "build your team around me" and to his credit, John Calipari saw it. In a game that strives to take away all opportunity (college bball honestly sucks), he can create and break down a defense, making everyone better. I'm so excited to see Ulis lead us this year. If we win the title, he becomes legend and probably the biggest fan favorite since... Issel? Macy? I wasn't really around for them. Tayshaun? Sparks?

This is the same take I came away with watching that mixtape. He certainly looked like he can create for himself when necessary or available and his passing looks even sharper than last season. I just smiled as I watched this and thought about a backcourt with Ulis, Murray, and Briscoe. What other school can match that quickness and smarts? Gonna be fun this year.

Absolutely filthy. Has added some muscle to his upper body, and seemed to be much more aggressive in slashing to the basket. Combine him with Briscoe and Murray and I salivate at the thought. Then you got Matthews and Mulder coming off the bench.

Our back-court is gonna be rolling this year with some major d!ck swagger.

Thanks OP, that just helped me make it through a boring conference call. And thinking about it now is making me real happy.

I clicked on "like" for the post

great play making ability in pick up games. definitely a guy you should sit on the bench to finish important, potentially season ending elimination games though
Is this guy obvious,or what? What did your coach do?? Oh, that's right. He was home watching the cats wishing he was coaching "em

I don't know what he's been doing to himself this off season but he's gotten infinitely faster. At 1:28 he makes a pass to the wing and runs over and catches it himself for the open 3 by the 1:30 mark. This year's going to be awesome.

I love that guy...Ty. He is a true point guard and a scorer all in one. OP: Thanks for posting.

THIS! It's my biggest beef with that Wisconsin game. Cal blew it leaving Drew in and Tyler on the bench during those 3 shot clock violations. Ulis wouldn't have let that happen. He should have been subbed in for Andrew after the second clock violation at the very latest.

This is a harsh truth. I'd you say this it means "you don't appreciate the two Final 4s the Harrison's lead us to". However, from my perspective I'd rather have the '14 Runner Up memory to go along with the memory of Ulis and Towns leading us to 9 in '15. I'm not alone in that. Doesn't make me unappreciative, just an unapologetic realist.

So you know for a fact what would have happened do ya? Well he would have got scored on 3 straight times on defense. See how easy that is. He did hardly nothing the whole game, while the Harrison's were the 2nd and 3rd leading scorers behind Towns and had experience in those situations from the numerous times they saved our asses. God you guys need to let this go and quit blaming the kids who won us the Notre Dame game and kept us in it vs Wisconsin.

Andrew was playing great that game, I don't know how you bench him with the game on the line. If Ulis was clearly better, I think that would have been reflected in the playing time.

Back on topic, anyone know his fg% over the course of the games?

That's some of the most epic ball-handling/passing I've ever seen in a mixtape. Those posters who think Tyler has no chance to go pro after this year, and will be back for his junior/senior seasons because of 2-3" in height are delusional.

Cal is aggressively recruiting PGs because he knows it's very likely he loses Briscoe and Ulis this year.
