I’ve always loved UK Football a tiny bit more than basketball. Nothing used to get me going like the summer trash talk before the Governor’s Cup game Labor Day weekend. I always feel hyped up…this year is another level.
The 2007 we had big hopes…but it was more like “we better capitalize this year with Woodson, Little, Burton, Lindsey, Tamme, and Woodyard because we may not see a group like this again”
After the 10 wins in 2018….we knew it’d be a step back…but there was still hope. We had a lot of offensive questions and didn’t know about replacing that group…we didn’t know what would last…since then?
2019….3 QBs went down. We had a WR at QB. We’d already lost Benny, Allen, and that historic secondary….we still went 8-5 with a win over VA Tech in the Belk Bowl.
2020…COVID was weird. We had a good team but there were offensive issues. Stoops made the changes needed….
2021…another win at Florida. 10 wins again…beating Iowa in another Peach Bowl. Record setting play at wideout.
We’ve shown now it wasn’t a flash in the pan….
1. We’re reloading every year. NFL prospects leave…new ones step into place…
2. Stoops in the last 5 years has a win at Neyland, at The Swamp…and has beaten both of them at home…those games are winnable now!
3. Stoops will change the culture and make the right hires…a coordinator leaves for the NFL? The next one steps in…
4. And now the nation knows…preseason top 25…a QB with Heisman and #1 pick talks?
5. A top 15 recruiting class last season…
Kentucky Football isn’t just those underdogs we love anymore…We have NFL talent. We have SEC size and speed. We keep recruiting great talents. We have national respect. I’m hype because THESE GUY ARE FREAKING GREAT!

“I’m praying everyday Stoops goes somewhere else. He’s legit turned your roster into a top 20-30 program every year. I can’t even hate anymore, you’re too good”
