I know a lot of people, especially players that were on the ring of honor at CWS, were upset when it was covered with the new video ribbons. I love the ribbons. But understand them being upset since they were moved to being place on pillars in the concourse. How about put their names back out where they can be seen by all the fans in their seats? Looks like there could be plenty of room on the new press box for a new ring of honor. Use both the area at the top above the press location and the area between the new suits and the press location to honor the UK greats.

I would also like to see a wall of honor of sorts on the outside wall of the new practice facility facing the stadium. Have plaques with their face or picture, and years they played, And maybe even a statue garden with some statues of some of the UK greats.

Wall of honor I like for sure. Not sure about using the area above the press area. I guess I'd have to see what that would look like.

Yeah, been saying that for awhile now. Bear Bryant (his younger version), Couch, Dawson, etc.

That said, I think something they need to think about doing is what UF did at their stadium. Build a Hall of Fame type of room that fans can go into that has tv's everywhere of historic games, all of the trophy's won in the past, and have pictures of all of the Ring of Honor players along with TV's screens showing game footage, etc of each player. I do not think this is being built in the new renovation and think it should have been.

A good spot to put it would be where they are going to build the new practice facility. Build the room right there at that corner area where fans can go and see before games plus its close enough to the practice facility for the team, etc, to be able to see everyday like they do at Nutter now.

Here is the web address that shows what UF's looks like. Its much bigger and nicer in person but think UK could take an idea like this and make it their own.

I was thinking along the drive/sidewalk used for the Cat Walk. Think having statues the greats interspersed among the fans while the team's heading to battle would be a pretty cool thing.

But, I agree, SOMETHING needs to be done to recognize our past, as meager as it is.

That would be cool, they could build it where you mentioned or they could also put it in CWS. Just box in an area under then stands on the lower level and have a room like you mentioned. Either place would work for me, but they really need to do more than they are now. I get the symbolism of where they currently have the names, but they really need to embrace the history of our program. We have fielded some really good teams and some great players, we need to advertise that and show players, coaches, fans that it has been done here before and it can be done here again.

I really like the idea of lining the Cat Walk with statues, that would be pretty badass. It would make for a great pregame environment as the team enters the stadium. I can see it now, statues of past greats lining the hills with trees in between and fans lining the streets as the team makes it's way into the stadium. Stuff like that is what our team needs. Great idea.
