I hate that SOB. Letters/numbers crammed together, thinner font, no relief of numbers from background. I take it the state doesn't want you to be able read it from a distance to report crime. Surely Dandy is behind it. At least they could have put the KY shape outline in the middle. But no.

Fortunately, when I registered my replacement car Monday & got a new plate, I complained about it - loud enough so that everyone in the county clerk's office could hear - of course. Turns out they had a few of the old metal ones with the letters & numbers spaced apart still left, so I got one of those. I'm now happy for me. But the new ones still sux.

Use your power to bring this one back.

The flat font was supposed to cost the state a lot less than the raised font. A lot of states have already switched over. They would be better if they were the old design with the flat font.

I think I heard the main benefit is the new ones can be printed in the Clerk’s office.

Don't laugh about license plates. There is a huge market for antique ones on ebay. I saved all of my license plates in the garage for about 50 years. I am selling them for as high $100 or more. I recently sold a UK special plate for $65.00. Plus shipping.

The market is nationwide and very lucrative. For example. You can have this one for as little as $39,95 plus Priority shipping of $9.95.
