Never thought UK would lose 7/Not get more Top recruits

Probably a combination of most of these guys wanting to be "the man" and UK losing a step in recruiting with all the player uncertainty.
Am I the only person not worried that we will "only" have a top 10 team.

I would have been shocked if more future pros DID sign with UK. They had too many good players last season. Time to return to normal and go with a 7 man rotation.
Top 10 is fine with me, that means we could win it all, 2 of them are top 10, and one is the top player overall, I'd say that's a very good class, having a team like last year is a very rare thing and all the experts weighed in saying it could be the most talent ever assembled on a college team, the most talented team doesn't always win it, Cal has addressed what he thought we needed and what was available, the kids that are here, want to be here and that's good enough for me.
If platooning worked, but not well enough to be a world changing requirement now, then what is wrong with backing off on an overwhelming number of players and having a more manageable number of elite players. This class is as good an any out there and it will be easier to see that Cal is an excellent coach and not just a manager of NBA probies.
UK had a big target on it back the entire season. When you are a target that long sometimes someone scores a bullseye. No matter how many Maggies Drawers misses by your opponants you have in a season it takes only one bullseye to eliminate you in the NCAA tournament.

Some folks need to come down from the ledge. Even with these recent recruiting misses, we're STILL gonna be a pre-season Top 5 team and STILL have a more impressive core of rotation talent than nearly everyone else.
We've got the nation's No. 1 rated big man and projected No. 1 overall pick in Skal, we've got the nation's No. 1 rated point guard in Briscoe, we've got FIVE McDonald's All Americans (with three of our 5 McD boys now being experienced upperclassmen) and we've got the nation's No. 1 juco. That group alone gives us a more impressive talent core than all but perhaps about 2 to 4 other teams in the country.
I'm ok with the optimism, but while I love Mulder, I don't think he's the #1 JUCO. Last ranking I saw, a few weeks ago, he was #13th. Still good of course.
UK is going to be better than last year for 2 reasons. I am not calling for a 40-0 team. It will take a little time for next years team to gel but when it does!!! We may get beat in some early or road games. Here are the reasons why we will better and why other top recruits went elsewhere.
We will already have an offensive identity in which teams must prepare for. We really did not have that this year. Great defense and offensive rebounds led to many easy baskets. Cal may sign 1 or 2 more kids? GBB
- Skal - #1 pick in the 2016 draft. Best offensive BIG in college.
- Briscoe - will take over games when needed like Kemba and S. Napier did. His damn cousin is Kyrie Irving home gamers?
