Yeh, but they were also terrible in Ireland.Didn’t they play in Ireland last Sat? That’s a tough turnaround
They are terrible here too. What is Coach Frost’s record there now? I doubt he could find a job in a decent high school program anymore…Yeh, but they were also terrible in Ireland.

Yep, the days of winning with a roster full of big, strong corn-fed home state boys — the Osborne way — are long gone.Alabama could field a top 25 team with Alabama recruits
Nebraska might not be able to field a whole team with Nebraska recruits.

Great post. The Wisconsin comparison is a good one. But … Nebraska was once a monster in college football, with one coach and mostly homegrown recruits. Wisconsin is a never-has-been who is fortunate to have major recruiting areas within their reach. Is it or is it that the Nebraska recruits don't fit the systems that Nebraska has tried since it went all-in on the West Coast offense with Bill Callahan 15 or so years ago? That's why I say that Nebraska needs to get back to some power football. Wisconsin has made that a big part of its identity and enjoyed success with it. Is it going to win a national title? Probably a stretch but it will get the Huskers a winning season and then some.
Yeah. Madison has the benefit of being a couple of hours from Chi-town. That helps being in recruits from that area and nationwide. Bored on a weekend? Jet down to Chicaga. They also have a good food culture as well. In addition, Packers are two hours up the road. Great way to bring in recruits that grew up Packers fans and partner to bring in pro help for teaching or camps.Great post. The Wisconsin comparison is a good one. The VEER! Wow! Those were the days!Nebraska is a has been program. Very prestigious program and a great fan base but they have no recruiting base, they've been shitty this entire century. The veer offense has been solved. If Frost had went to Florida instead of Nebraska he would've been very successful as he was at Central Florida and had a great recruiting base. Miami murdered their program on live TV in 2001.
