Even though State hit a 3 at the buzzer to,win after a High point choke it further shows just how bad of a coach Gottfried is.
A gun to your head and you had to pick the next UK coach - Mark Gottfried or Johnny Jones, who are you choosing?

Gottfried, he's got 9 seasons of 20+ wins in a P5 conference , 5 of them at freakin' Alabama. Two S16s. He's like a poor man's Tubby. I'd say he's actually better than Tom Crean. I bet Indiana would love to have him at this point.

LSU just tends to do that to people. Dale Brown had Shaq for 3 years (2 years when he was ELITE), and won 20 and 21 games in those two elite seasons, and didn't get past the second round of the NCAAs. YOU HAD SHAQ. HE AVERAGED 25.8 pts and 14.3 rebs IN THOSE TWO ELITE YEARS. WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?
I think understand why they keep Jones now, good lord.

Wasn't Chris Jackson there at the same time? I remember we got lucky 1 year in the SEC Tournament when a player on the other team (Tennessee I think) grabbed Shaq when he went for a dunk and a fight started. Shaq was suspended for our game and we won with the Unforgettables. At least that is how I remember things going down. I could be wrong.
