There will be an NCAA media call at 1 PM ET to discuss the Committee on Infractions' decision regarding #Syracuse.

Prediction: Boeheim gets to keep his job and all his wins.....shocking I know.

Cuse fan on the main board says the rumor they're hearing is they'll get a 2 scholly reduction for 2 years and be forced to vacate 14 games that Fab Melo participated in.

Said anymore than that, and he'd expect Cuse fans to riot. I don't know nearly as much about the Cuse scandal as I do about UNC, but what I do know is, you can't punish Cuse for academic/athletic irregularities and let UNC off the hook. This reaffirms my belief that UNC is going to get smacked.

UNC will get hammered. The NCAA has already used up all of their "nothing to see here" cards in previous "investigations" at that factory.

That's it? LOL.

Looking at the syracuse.com, the posters there can only complain about Calipari, not to their own who are getting sanctions handed to them today. Some fans simply don't acknowledge that their coach has lots of questionable tactics over his time there.

And the bulk of the fans are saying Bryant to UK.

If there are sanctions over and above what Syracuse has already self imposed maybe they will publicly call bullshit on the NCAA for the handleing of the UNC issue. It is way past time that a school did this,it probably won't happen but there is a chance.

This was the part I was interested in:

"The SU basketball program will also have to forfeit an unknown number of
wins from the seasons of 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2010-11 and
2011-12."

Boeheim turns 71 this year - he would have to nose he'd be 75 before he'd have any realistic expectation of winning anything.

I bet he retires - cuse won't be relative again until at least 2021.

Yeah - you've got to really like our chances with Bryant now. Cuse already didn't have an open scholarship for him and the loss of scholarships just makes it worse. They'd have to run 2-3 guys off the team to sign him. Our main competitors for Bryant now are IU and Missouri - aka Dumpster Fire U and Univ of Misery.

Is he the player who's mama bad mouthed UK and Cal?

Seems pretty light to me.
Out 9 games, haha.
They suck this year anyway. Weren't going to tournament and they accepted Syracuse's self imposed ban for this year without further post season ban.
Whoopie, they'll have 10 scholarship players instead of 13 for 3 years. Just have to recruit a little differently.

UNC is really liking this.

Jim Boeheim's Syracuse program cheated for a decade. He gets a nine game suspension. Bruce Pearl shakes head. Whatever you do, don't lie about a BBQ.

Yes - but Bryant has made it clear that it's his decision and he likes UK a lot.

I see Fab Melo played 63 games, so that will be a major hit to Boeheim's win totals.

ESPN bringing up UNC in all this, and Goodman says Roy would be worried only if Syracuse received postseason bans next year. Syracuse can weather this storm he says, and still be Top 25.

Well, article on 3/4 interviewing Boeheim and he stated next year his team sure would look different than this year. Well, he got that part right.

We could see some transfers taking place up there. Boeheim is screwed in 2015.
