Xavier and Kansas getting beat last night could really help the cats if the would just take advantage of it. Those were potentially the 1 and 2 in the Midwest that lost. At this point I don't see anybody locked in except maybe UNC. Kentucky could still get the 2 in the Midwest!

Obtaining a high seed starts with beating Arkansas on the road tomorrow.

If we run the table outside of Kansas we might get a two seed, I doubt that happens. 5-7 seed, maybe a 4 if we're lucky

Other teams are going to lose as well lol. Do not have to win out besides losing at Kansas to get a 2 for sure!

Give me the 4 seed in the South with Xavier as the 1 seed. We beat Xavier in Louisville and whoever comes out of the bottom part of the region.

If we play in Louisville, I don't care what seed we are, we will make the Final Four, IMHO. The crowd will be 90% UK fans!

Forgot about Louisville region. Are we safely there as a 4? If so I amend my wish.

I hope we are a 8/9 again and steal a 1 seeds path.

I hear you Jed, but I remember saying the same thing with Archie's team that ended up in the NIT. The margin for error is just too tight to be walking that line.

I'm thinking we're trending a little more toward the 5 seed that upsets the 12 right off the bat and ends up in the FF.

This is what makes the OSU and Auburn losses so bad, they are both bad teams that go nuts and throw in a bunch of 3's.If we win one of those games we are in pretty good shape,if we win both we are in the top 8 in the country right now.

Everyone expected a 'down' year coming off last season but down year or not we are good enough to have won at least one of those 2 games.

I know this might require a crystal ball, but are we going to likely be in the St. Louis regional? Because that's where I'll be.

I agree. Those Auburn and OSU games are seed killers. I can not see a scenerio where UK could get a 2 seed with more than 2 more regular season losses. Losing those two games left very little margin for error for a team that is struggling. And it is frustrating because a regional is in Louisville where the home crowd would give UK a boost.

I don't think the committee will put us in Louisville as a 4 or 5 seed. But if we are a 6 I think we could wind up there as they aren't projecting us to get past the second round.

I could see us being a 6, beating a 3 like Iowa State or Purdue or somebody, then getting to play a 2 seed in Louisville. Or a 7 or 10 seed.

I think it's going to be that crazy of a year where 6-8 of the Sweet 16 are 5 seeds or lower.

They're not as bad as KU's loss Monday night from a committee (RPI) perspective. Oklahoma State was 80 spots below Auburn and 100 below Ohio State.

Kind of sucks that the regional is in our backyard and we may not be able to partake.
