Spring sports people being given another! Think it's good new if guys like TJ decide to come back!?

FWIW, here is what was posted on the Card board yesterday by a pretty knowledgable baseball poster...

The D1 Council met today regarding spring sports, here are the main takeaways:
- Seniors are able to come back for one additional year if they want to.
- Schools can decide if the player will receive an additional year of scholarship. They can provide anywhere from 0% scholarship to equal to that players 2020 scholarship.
- Baseball roster limits have been increased (I’m not sure about other sports). Seniors will not count towards the roster limits for the 2021 season.

They will also be voting this summer to approve a one time transfer rule, which most think will be approved as well.

I don’t think this helps Louisville much, but we will see. I’m positive we still lose out on Detmers and Miller but its worth keeping an eye on Elliott, Luke Smith, Kirian, Lavey, etc.

Peace

So the trick here, and I've not looked into it... is regarding scholarship money. That limit seemingly hasnt changed. So, what the coaches offered to freshmen because seniors would be leaving must be reevaluated or the senior may lose their money. That's a tough spot.

Very true. So do the seniors gamble and pay for another year of school to increase their draft stock potentially but then there will be more players eligible for the draft next year.

Most players are not getting that much $.
