Plumlee when he picked up his forth foul looked exactly like that guy when he goes crazy in the first half of the movie Full Metal Jacket. If I was playing, I would have been telling my team pointing to Plumlee, to make sure to cover Frankenstein.

Allen gets to drive to the basket and go into people without any foul calls. I think it is a great offensive strategy and Coach K. is a great coach, but I think this is also the Coach K. rule. Last year, Okafor could back into and bump his man off his position without any foul calls either.

North Carolina and South Carolina seems to be similar, they can't shoot the ball.

Basketball I.Q. seems to be missing from UNC (probably due to the classes they are not attending) as they had such a clear advantage on the interior but continually took mid-range shots instead.

What if Miami wins the ACC, does UNC still get a one seed and Miami doesn't?

What else?

They will remain the media darling no matter how the rest of the season plays out. Their seed will be very favorable as will Duke's. History tells us this is how it will come down.

ACC is going to beat each other up a lot in the coming weeks

Duke, UNC, Miami, and Virginia are going to have several goes at it.

Louisville ends up playing 3 of those 4. If they can pull a few of those out, that really helps us.

Heels have a MAJOR problem shooting the ball. 4-24 last night from their backcourt. I have not looked at the stats to verify but on TV last night someone said Heels were dead last in the ACC in 3 point shooting. What's amazing about last night though is that it wasn't a case of Duke going nuts from 3 down the stretch to win. (like the A Rivers game in 2012) Outside of Kennard hitting that critical one late which put the score 72-71 in Duke's favor it was K spreading the floor and allowing Ingram (and Allen) to create in an iso situation that was the key. That is what brought Duke back when they were down 60-68. UNC was a one trick pony last night (Brice Johnson) and he had little help.

A stunning game. K really owns Roy. Last night was the straw that broke Roy Williams back with his fanbase.

Something tells me that those three teams that were essential locks for 1 seeds (Oklahoma, UNC and Maryland) might end up as 3 seeds when all is said and done.
Maryland has talent but they are a fraud. Every game goes down to the wire regardless of the opponent with a couple of exceptions. I just don't think their coach has what it takes.

UNC is about to hit the toughest part of their schedule. That was supposed to be a win last night and they have several more coming as soft as they are.

Oklahoma has now lost 2 in a row (maybe 3 actually) and they could end up losing a couple more before all is said and done plus their impending loss in the BIG12 tournament.

Villanova is going to get a 1 seed simply because they don't play anyone so I see them winning out. Fine by me, I just want UK to be in their bracket if the cats don't somehow find themselves in the 1 spot.

Michigan State and X could make a run at a 1.
Man, the deeper I look into this the weirder it gets.
This is going to get really interesting soon.

It's been that way for awhile now. We've benefitted from offensive players being allowed to be physical as well. Dakari and the twins based their offense around bullying their way to the basket. That doesn't bother me as long as refs don't call a foul for holding your ground on defense.

I don't get why Roy can't get shooters. That was the flaw of those Zeller, Henson, Barnes teams as well.

I can't watch the dUKe vs UNC game. I haven't watched (other than the endless highlights they show for weeks) them play each other for a few years. I realized I had had enough when they started giving the game the "gameday" treatment in the middle of the week. No one else gets that treatment in the middle of the week. That's crazy and only feeds the "ESPN bias" towards both schools.

I turn in to sportcenter about 11:15 last night and they have their little studio on the floor of the Dean Dome interviewing Allen at the desk. That's just to overthetop. They (ESPN) don't even try to hide their favoritism anymore.

Spotter, your not watching makes no difference. I can't blame ESPN for hyping this game it is a great rivalry and the games are usually close. Why wouldn't they want ratings during the week? Hyping it up makes total sense. It isn't Kentucky beating UL every year.

Of course me not watching doesn't make a difference. Where did I give the impression that it did? I just don't enjoy watching ESPN empty their studios in Connecticut in the middle of the week so all their talking heads can go and slobber all over themselves praising both teams and coaches. Did the academic scandal get brought up once? It's just not entertaining to me. Sports are supposed to be entertainment not an agenda driven love fest.
