I feel little bit more confident about Dillao returning after reading this from Zag.

The NBA next week will announce the list of participants for the upcoming NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, where approximately 60-70 players will be invited to play in front of all 30 teams.

“I guess someone would take a flyer in the second round but only if he got into Chicago for the Pre-Draft Camp and competed,” one NBA executive told FanRagSports.com.

If the high-flying Diallo is invited and then impresses at the combine, he could move up from a late-first/early-second-round pick. Conversely, if he doesn’t attend or attends and doesn’t play well, it could hurt his stock.

Some think he should spend a year at Kentucky under John Calipari and help transform himself into a lottery pick in the 2018 Draft.

“That is what he should do,” a second NBA scout said. “He’ll play on a big stage. All their players are gone and there’s an opportunity to be a star. That equals [being a] top pick [if] he plays at a high level.”

Diallo plans to see what the next few weeks bring and go from there.
